On the becoming of these, developmentally, delayed children, they can find their own skies to soar under too! Translated…
The girl who washes the customers’ hairs in the nearby salon is developmentally delayed. Every time I’d gone in to get a trim, I’d asked for her as a hair washer. She’s very hardworking in her job, putting the towels on the customers’ shoulders, cleaning up the hair of the customers very thoroughly, adjusting the temperature of the water, she’d done each and every step with great care. And although she’d slurred in her speech, but she’s sweet lipped, and, all the customers loved having their hair washed by her.
And, I can only imagine that the kindhearted owner of the salon must’ve taken a ton of care to teach her to wash the customers’ hair, and maybe, this just is no big deal, but other than having the skills, one would need the heart, to truly, satisfy the customers. “I only need to do one task perfectly in my life, then, my life is, fulfilled.” The views applies, to this young lady who washes the customers’ hair in the salon.
My friend’s child has Downs’s Syndrome, she was protected by her three older sisters and her mom, and this child used her own abilities, tested into the public technical high school, and as she’d graduated, she found a job successfully too, and as I saw her on the streets, she’d, smiled at me, and said hello.

Every time I’d gone to the super convenience store where she’d worked to get my coffee, seeing those workers with Downs’s Syndrome working a bit slower, but with their heart into what they are tackling, it’s, quite moving.
I’d recalled the lines from the book, “Slow Angels Can Fly Well”: “Accepting your own developmentally delayed child, opening up your own field of vision wider, to help overcome your own hurrying………wait quietly, for the energies that brings a flower to full bloom, wait for your developmentally delayed children to grow up well.” Like the writer, Zhang-Fang Wang in his “There’s No Stupid Child Who Can’t Learn”, giving those “dumb kids” love, and patience, just wait for them slowly, and thy will, find their own, fitting springtime to bloom radiantly.
And so, this is inspiring, and this also showed, how if you had a bad start in life, you shouldn’t get discouraged, so long as you’re willing to work hard for your goals and dreams, they can come true too!
