She Could No Longer Take it Anymore, the Police Arrived Quickly, Grabbed the Knife, the Mother Mildly Injured, the Daughter was Rushed to the Hospital, But Died
A tragedy happened in the city of Tainan yesterday afternoon. Tsai the mother was suspected of being ill a long time, plus she was the primary caretaker of her schizophrenic daughter, became over stressed, yesterday after she’d left a suicide note at home, she carried a chopping knife, headed up to the third-floor bedrooms, hacked at her daughter’s head and neck, then, sliced her own throat to commit suicide; as the police arrived on time, grabbed the knife out of Tsai’s hands, Tsai sustained minor injuries, but her daughter died on the way to the hospital.
“My wife left a note at home, I think she’s planning to kill herself,” the man who lives in An-Nan District, Tainan, Lee called the police, at 4:45 in the afternoon yesterday at his local precinct, claimed that his wife, Tsai (age 59) had left a note, with the note along with $59,000N.T. as money for his living, on the note it’d mentioned that she’d been having stomach issues for a long time, and she wanted to take her daughter out for a “walk”.
The officers first checked the note, reported to the precinct, but after reviewing over the surveillances of the streets, they’d found no signs of Tsai having gone out, they’d accompanied Lee upstairs, and found Tsai in the third-floor bedroom, with the knife against her own neck, very emotional, and their daughter was lying in bed, with blood all over her body; the officers saw the situation as emergent, went to grab the knife off from her, called emergency, and rushed Tsai and her daughter to the E.R.
The city’s fire department sent the dispatchers, saw Lee had knife wounds on her head, quickly dressed her up, and rushed her to the An-Nan Hospital, but there was a slash of eighteen-centimeters on her neck, she was so severely injured she’d died; Tsai sustained a surface cut along the right side of her neck, wasn’t in any life-threatening condition after being taken to the hospital, the officers stayed with her at the hospital, and last night, took her to the station to inquire, Tsai admitted to murdering her own daughter, said her daughter lived on hard, that she’d planned to take her daughter with her away.
Lee said, that his wife may have been impacted by her own illness, and worried that if she is dead, then nobody will be there to take care of her own daughter. Lee’s older brother told, that his sister-in-law had been troubled by her stomach conditions long-term, that everybody in the family was upset and sad as this tragedy happened.
Based off of understanding, Lee and Tsai had two daughters and a son, Lee originally worked as a carpenter, retired in recent years, his wife originally worked as a seamstress at home, then, she’d started selling the offering papers, the deceased was the eldest daughter, had been diagnosed with schizophrenia for many years; the families disclosed, that Tsai was emotionally troubled, and went to the hospital to get her insomnia treated, but never sought out help from the psychiatric department.
And so, this is still all a build up, the woman finally cracked, from taking care of her own ill daughter long-term, plus she wasn’t treated for her own depression, and with the pressures she feels accumulating, that was what caused her to murder her own daughter, maybe she believe it was out of mercy, but it’s still, murder.
