The Internet Sensation’s Science Experiment Videos Gained a Ton of Hits, Turning the Experimental Education Methods Around

How a little innovation is used, in helping to educate young children, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

A lot of students dodged the science subjects, but, the YouTuber who’s not an education major, “Jun” used his skills in magic tricks and, filmed the weekly science experiment videos weekly, and streamed it live on TikTok, to help children fall in love with science in only fifteen seconds, there were over hundreds of elementary schools, preschools which used his lesson plans.  The reason why his videos were so popular was because of the methods that “Jun” used in turning over the experiment process of the regular classrooms, using a “punch line” to spark up the interest then, explaining the way things worked afterwards.

Teachers Watched His YouTube Channel to Learn His Methods, He’d Gained Over Tens of Millions of Hits

“Water, glue, and dish detergents”, Jun used the bubbles that were made out of the detergent, to show the abstract idea of “tension”.  The simple “experiment” attracted the elementary age children to leave the messages of “teach us how to do that”, sparked their interests, the teachers on the front lines of education also came to take from his methods.  Jun’s YouTube channel had only been up and running for five short months, and there were already 1.5 million subscribers, and there were over ten million hits of the videos he’d made already.

Using the Skills of Magic Tricks, to Motivate Children to Want to Learn More

“Magic tricks are easy for people to understand, and explaining how the magic tricks are done, that’s, science”, Jun analyzed, that although technologies had reduced the sense of interest for many things today, but, the younger generations still kept their curiosities intact, so long a shorter time is used, it would match the “within the rationalisms, but outside the expectations” storylines or scenes, to get the kids to watch, as the children’s motivation to find out how the acts were done, they will initiate their process of learning, to try to find out how the tricks are being, performed.

Tseng stated, that he was an applied math major, that he’d returned home to help with the family business after he graduated, and the skills he had, had nothing to do with the field of education, and he’d started filming these short videos because of his own interests, and, over hundred of preschool, elementary school teachers came to him, and because of the new curricula of 2019, the schools had invited him to the campuses to lead a class, or to lead a summer camp.

The Teaching Materials are “Human”, Building up the Bridge Between the Adults & Children

Tseng believed, that the fun science experiments, is a key in keeping the teaching materials “human”, it can encourage children to find out why and the causes and effects between two ideas, to increase their logic abilities; and in the interactions between the younger generations and their grandparents, the generations are engaged in watching his videos together, bridging the conversation between the two generations, and it’ assured him that what he was doing was helpful.

here’s a “sample” of a collection of simple-to-do at home experiments, off of YouTube

To help more instructors with the problems in instruction, Tseng told, he is planning to get the funding of an education foundation right now, to connect all the passionate school instructors together, to work on the lesson plans, to devise the lesson plans that the younger generations of students will find interesting, thus, spark up their desires to learn.

And so, this still showed, how this young lad manage to spark up the young children’s interests to find out how things worked in his video, and it wasn’t his plan to spark up this wide-scale discussion, I’m certain that was NOT his intention, but, he’d, helped started this movement in education methods, with his science experiment videos on YouTube.
