The baseball team of an unidentified middle school in Taidong, a last year male student was accused of beating a second-year younger schoolmate multiple times, and forced the victim to masturbate him in front of his roommate; as the school found the injuries on the victim’s face, that’s when they dug deeper and found out what happened, and reported to the police with the student and his parents, the police arrested the bullies on obstruction of sexual freedom, and sent them to juvenile court.
The mother of the victim told that because her son was in the baseball team, he’d lived in the dorms, as she’d noted how her son was being abused, she’d felt so much pain in her heart, and blamed herself for not looking after him well enough, and transferred him out of the school, and, stopped making him play sports.
She’d told, that from before, her son seemed to have a lot on his mind whenever he came home on the weekends, and, because the student feared getting beaten up again, he’d not dared told his mother what was happening to him, and now, he’d come home smiling, and the families stopped mentioning sports to him, hoping he could, get over the bad things that happened to him, she’d told her son, that it’s their fault, “we can’t hurt someone else, because someone hurt us before!”
Based off of understanding, shortly after school started on the seventeenth last month, the school found bruising on the injured student’s face, and pressed him on how he got injured. The student claimed that he was beaten on the previous day by a third-year older schoolmate, the school immediately initiated the process of placement, reported the matter to the Department of Education, and called up both their parents.
As the parents of the victimized student came to school, they’d claimed, that he’d been beaten up three times in his first year by the older schoolmate, that before summer vacation this past July, he was forced to masturbate in front of the perpetrator who’d abused him and three other roommates. The school started the gender equality investigations and reported the matter to the police with the student’s parents.
The head of Taidong’s Department of Education told, that as the investigation got initiated, and the management of the dormitory of the sports team reinforced, the counseling given to the victim, the perpetrator had already transferred, and the parents of the abused student decided to transfer their son away, the Department of Education helped made the transfer transition smoother, and has the social workers follow up on the case.
And, this, is handled, as well as it can be, but there should’ve been more preventative things being done, but instead, the schools, the government, tried to fix this up afterwards, and the trauma in this student will take even longer to recover that’s for sure!
