A man, Huang, had sexual intercourse with a thirteen-year-old girl, was sentenced to a year eight month in prison, on probation for three years, and the terms of probation included that he needed to provide a hundred hours of volunteer services, but Huang kept making the excuses for not fulfilling his volunteering, using that his job keeps him too busy, only provided sixteen hours of services, and, he’d begged the courts to give him another year to fulfill the requirements of his volunteer probationary terms, and he’d not completed one single hour in a year; the Courts retracted his probation, and mandated that he must serve the time in prison.
The judge pointed out, that the addendum of the probationary terms needed to be enforced, and the district attorney who oversees that the terms get fulfilled in the given time, will tell the probationary individual that he’s done. The cases of probation getting retracted, were mostly due to inability to pay the amount designated in the given times, there are rarely any cases that the probationary terms getting retracted because of lack of fulfilling the volunteer hours.
Huang was only eighteen during 2010, he’d had consensual sex with a thirteen-year-old adolescent girl, and was sued, he’d settled the matter for $30,000N.T.s, the Shihlin District Court gave him the sentence of a year eight months, three years probation, that he’d needed to put in one-hundred twenty-hours of volunteer service times.
The district attorneys ordered him to complete the required volunteer service terms in a year, and he’d only put in sixteen hours, before the expiration of the terms, the district attorneys agreed to give him an extension by two more months, but Huang never provided any voluntary services, and the district attorneys now ask the courts to toss back his probationary terms.
Huang claimed to the courts, that he’s busy at work he’d not thought too much on the matter, that was why he’d failed to put in the volunteer service hours on time, and now he’d known how serious that was, he will be complying to the demands, if he is given one more year to fulfill the terms of his voluntary services, he will have eighteen workdays to volunteer.
The courts found that Huang switched ten employers in this past year, believed Huang’s statements, and tossed back the district attorney’s requests; the district attorneys allowed Huang to have one more year to fulfill his voluntary service require terms, and yet, Huang disregarded the courts, the D.A.’s office giving him the chances, he’d not even come close to fulfilling the 104 hours.
For the second time, the district attorneys asked the courts to retract the probation terms, the judge believed, that in the first time when Huang asked for the extensions, and in the year two months’ time, he’d only provided sixteen hours of volunteer service requirements, while as the district attorney’s offices filed to withdraw his probationary terms, he’d promised to fulfill eighty-seven percent of the remaining hours, the Shihlin D.A.’s Office had filed the warnings against him to complete his voluntary service terms, and he’d not gotten warned by the leniency of the D.A.’s offices, he’d not carried a good attitude toward the crimes he’d committed, the judge tossed back the probation, and he must serve the time in prison.
And so, this LOSER must’ve seen probation as a “free pass”, a “get-out-of-jail free card” for him, that’s why he’d not taken his voluntary service terms seriously enough, and he used the excuses of work, of being too busy, to evade putting in the hours of volunteer he was required to have, and now, his probation’s tossed out completely, and he will, SERVE time in prison!
Just because the law is lenient toward you, does NOT mean that you CAN take advantage of the systems like that, like this man had, and he got exactly WHAT he’d deserved all right.
