The man, Yang was charged with attempted murder sixteen years ago, sentenced to five years by the juvenile court, during his time in the correctional facilities, he’d mailed multiple threatening letters to his own father, “I will kill you and mom too”, “I’m going to incinerate your bodies, and, break all the bones that remained”, the Taichung High Subsidiary Courts gave Yang a reduced sentence on his mental illness diagnosis, and because his parents were willing to forgive him, and this latest threat, the courts gave him a year in prison, which he can pay the fees without serving any time, on probation for two years, case closed.
The Collectivist Courts considered, that with Yang’s long-term struggle with his mental illness, that he’d lacked impulse control, and couldn’t tell if he was not doing something legal, that his ability to decide and to be aware of his own behavior is lower than the average person, and he got a reduced sentence for it.
The verdict pointed out that Yang (age 22), was sentenced to five years for attempted murder, while in his terms at Mingyang School from March to May of last year, he’d sent multiple threats back to his own parents, claiming, “Dad, all you can do is to wait for me to go home, and send you to hell”, “the worst I can get is getting GUNNED down by the facilities, but I will, murder you and mom, I won’t rest easy until you and mother are both, dead”. He’d also write out a plan to murder the school principal, the school teachers, as well as his classmates too.
Yang’s parents feared for their safety, filed for a restraining order with the courts, the judge reported to the juvenile detention what Yang did. During the court investigations, Yang apologized to his own parents, the parents agreed to forgive him and settled the matter, the judge believed that Yang had threatened to kill his parents that he is highly dangerous, that he was malicious, but the parents believed that their son became, less violent now, and asked the courts to let him off easier.
And, this is still??? Oh yeah, an ABUSER/ENABLER relationship style, the son being the abuser, and the parents, his, enablers, and, because it’s their son, and, NO parents would have the hearts to, put their own young behind bars, and so, they will, keep living under FEAR of their own life, safety, until one day, this man actually followed through with his own threats, to MURDER, then, he will then, get a HARSHER sentencing, like death penalty or life-in-prison, but until then, the courts can’t do anything, because the parents, are too, forgiving…
