During the nightly self-study sessions on Wednesday evening in the affiliated high school of University of Education, there was a male student who entered into the female restrooms, and filmed the female students going to the restroom; afterwards, because the school wanted the students to “speculate no longer”, there was a student who’d posted on Haters of Affiliated High School anonymous, stating how the school is trying to silence the victims.
Toward the students’ accusing the school for not doing anything about it, the secretary, Ke stated, that because this is a matter of gender equality, they can’t state the details, and in the time, they’d notified the parents, the parties, and started the process of resolving the matters, that they’re not keeping the details from the students, it’s the laws of privacy.
Toward the offender and the victims, they already had the school counselors to help them. Yesterday morning, the school also asked the homeroom instructors to the classes, to explain how the school is handling the matter, and reminding the students they should NOT pass the matter around like gossip, to not hurt the offender and the victims repeatedly.
The matter started a heated discussion on Hater High School group, the school sent letters to the parents, mentioned, how there were the male students of the Hsinbei Campus that there were male students who’d made their ways into the female restrooms, in it, it’d mentioned how everything discussed should be kept secret, to protect the privacies of the victims and the perpetrators.
Ke stated, that there was the incident of secret filming, that as the students reported the matter, the process of gender equality board is already in place, the disciplinary officer at the school already got the basic details, and told the students’ parents, and reported to the safety committee of the school as well.
The letter also stated, that the school will have the disciplinary officials who stay in the school late to pay more attention, especially during the nightly self-study sessions, all the floors, and they will host the gender equality lectures to all final year students, and explain to them to proceedings, and what would the consequences be if there’s fault found.
And this, is what’s happening currently, VOYEURISM, because there are always going to be sexual predators, lurking around, there’s NO preventing those, peeping toms, and that’s why, after they’d found the cameras, they finally, started the investigations, and it’s the school’s way, of, fixing everything up, after what happened, and this is, all in, hindsight, they’re trying, to put out the fires, after they already started, burning!
