Crime against one’s own, countryman here, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

The Casino sent the Bloody Photos of the Workers Demanded Their Families Pay, and Sent the Messages that the Workers were Runaways to Mislead the Police, Four Runaway Migrant Workers Arrested.

The Vietnamese migrant worker, Nguyen went to the underground casino operated by a fellow Vietnamese person to gamble, he’d owed $300,000N.T. couldn’t pay up, as he left the factory he worked in, he was taken by force by four of the runaway Vietnamese migrant workers who worked in the illegal gambling ring by force, and the operators of the gambling ring texted the family of Nguyen to press them to pay the debts up, the Criminal Investigations Bureau received a call from the families two days later, and followed the leads, arrested the operators and saved the migrant worker, the four migrant workers involved in running the illegal gambling ring was taken into custody on the asking of the D.A.’s office.

Last year on the 29th the International Sector of the Criminal Investigations received the S.O.S. call from the Vietnamese Consulate, stated that the families of a Vietnamese migrant worker who’d come here to work received the S.O.S. on FB from Nguyen, said that he’d owned the gambling debts and was taken into custody, beaten, tortured, and that the operators demanded his families wire $300,000N.T. to them.

The Criminal Investigations investigated, found that Nguyen was enticed by his fellow countrymates to the underground gambling ring run and operated by fellow runaway migrant workers from Vietnam to gable, they’d played the traditional Vietnamese games and owed a ton of debts, started last month, he’d received the calls to pay up the debts, as he left the factory after work at the bottom of July he was taken by force.

The suspects used the victim’s FB to threaten the older brother, older sister, and girlfriend of the victim, and added the interests, and the originally amount that he’d owed of $300,000N.T., got hiked up to $480,000N.T.

The suspect had even sent the multiple photos of the victim getting stabbed and bleeding, and threatened the families to wire the amount to the specific Vietnamese account, otherwise, they were going to cut off the victim’s arms and legs.

The Criminal Investigation Unit worked alongside the Changwha Police Department, and in order to mess with the investigations, the suspects had used the victim’s communication app to say that he’d been taken into the mountains, that it’s cold in the mornings, etc., etc., etc., and told the friend of the migrant worker that he’d escaped and was “working in Taipei” to misdirect the police’s investigation.

As the police confirmed that the victim was held in Dali, Taichung, they’d rescued him on the 31st of July, and arrested Nguyen, Chen, Lei, a total of four men who’d, taken the escaped migrant worker, and confiscated the slips of owing the money, the paraphernalia, and amphetamine too.

And so, this still showed, how if you get addicted to something, you’ll end up, paying for it, like this runaway worker who got involved in gambling, and owed up too much debts, and couldn’t pay, and he was taken by force, by his own countrymen, and in the end, these people who run and operated this gambling ring still couldn’t escape the law.
