The Child Went to Catch Fish & Fell into a Pond, His Mother Went in to Get Him Up, and Drowned

A nine-year-old boy was accompanied by his mother to catch fish at a enclave of a pond, the child accidentally, fell in, the thirty-seven-year-old mother watched her son fall in, and, went in, to rescue him, but she was, unfamiliar of the depth, worked hard to push her son to the banks, then, started, floating toward the middle of the pond; the boy was saved, started hollering for help, as the visitors arrived, the woman already sank into the water, and the rescuers took over twenty minutes to pull her back up, but he was already died.

The man who’d fished the boy out told the police, that he was strolling close by, and heard a child call out “help!”, and followed the voice, found the boy; back then, the child was in the shallow parts, but he was, clearly, shocked, he’d, used an abandoned pipe to fish the child out, but, the child told him, “mom’s still in the water”, back then he’d looked in, and didn’t see her, he’d worried that she’s, already, sunk, and immediately called up the fire department.

The Taoyuan City Fire Department Second Team at 5:44 in the afternoon received the call, and, had the substations nearby to go and rescue; the fire department told, that the location was at the boundaries of Yangmei and the entry of the lake in Hsinchu, the caller believed that he was at the pond at the opening of the lake, but, the teams knew that there were, three ponds, and, made the call to reconfirm, so they arrived at the right locations.

As the fire department arrived, they’d sent out the raft and the rescue gears to the middle of the lake, and by six in the early evenings, they’d found her, she’d already died, and, they’d pulled her out, did the resuscitation measure on her, sent her to the hospital, by 7:20 in the evening, she was still, declared, dead.

The families heard and rushed to the hospital, and, upon being told that the woman died, they were all, overcome with loss; the police told, that the boy was in shock, couldn’t tell them what had happened, but from the conversations before, the boy may have fallen in because he wanted to catch the fish, the woman leapt in to save her son, pushed him toward the shores, and sacrificed herself.  But what happened exactly, the district attorneys will have to examine more closely.

And so, to save her son, this woman had, sacrificed her own life, this is, the ultimate sacrifice of a mother all right, and, this still also showed, how you should NOT go into the water, where there are, no LIFEGUARDS close by in case something like this could happen, and besides, the depth of the pond is, unknown, which makes it, that much more, dangerous!
