The Robber Who Became a Rapist was at Large for Twenty-One Years, He’d Come Back to Taiwan to Get Away from MERS-CoV, and Was Arrested

A man, Ting back in 1999, broke into a private residence to rob, and, sexually assaulted a woman with her young child; he was at large for twenty-one-years, this April, he took the flight back to Taiwan at the start of the outbreak of MERS-CoV, and, as soon as he entered the country, the police made an arrest.  The Shihlin District Court found him guilty of robbery and rape, sentenced Ting to thirteen years, this can be appealed.

As Ting was taken into custody, he’d told the authorities, that after he’d committed the crimes here, he escaped to abroad, and because he committed a crime in Macau, and served his time there, and as he was released, he’d wanted to come back to Taiwan to his families, that was why he’d returned here, during the outbreak, and admitted that he had, broken into the property to rob the residence, and had, raped the woman.

The courts asked the victim if she were willing to come to court to testify, the woman told on the courts on the phones, that the incident caused her and her families a ton of damages, that she wasn’t, willing, to relive the traumas, and told the courts that she hoped, the severest of all sentence will be passed down to the perp.

In
October 1999, Ting, who was only twenty-three, climbed into a property from the lanai, into the windows at around two in the morn, entered into a resident in Yonghe, he’d, fumbled around the property, not found any valuables, and, made too much noises, and it’d, awakened the female owner, Ting strangled the woman, forced her to turn over all her money.  She gave him $500N.T.s. Ting thought it wasn’t enough, so he’d not taken the money, pulled her into the bedroom, then, raped her, then escaped.

The victim called the police, and gotten a rape kit done, the police found Ting’s DNA through the system, the D.A. indicted him, but Ting escaped out of the country, in 2001, the courts issued an order for his arrest.

Ting is forty-four years old, was at large for eighteen years; on April 20^th of this year, during the outbreaks of MERS-CoV, Ting knew there was an active arrest warrant on him, and still took the flight back here, and as soon as he’d entered into the country, the police arrested him, and he was taken to Shihlin District Court, placed in custody.

The Collectivist Courts weighed, that Ting took the advantage of the time when people are sleeping, broken into the residence, raped the female owner, caused threats to her life, and burglarized the home, causing the woman injury both physically and psychologically, that it was, beyond repair, that his acts were, of great malice; and he’d, escaped out of the country, which caused the prosecution to come to a dead halt, that there should be NO reduced sentence given, sentenced him to thirteen years.

And so, this still showed, how the evils you’d done will eventually, catch UP to you, and you can’t, escape the law, or your own, guilty conscience, and this loser thought he’d, escaped the punishments from the law, but he didn’t, and he deserved, an even, harsher sentence than what he would’ve originally, received.
