The Cold Case of the Jane Doe Burned to Charcoal, the Witness Finally Showed Up after Twenty-One Years

The case that went, C-O-L-D, but now, twenty-one years later, a witness had, come forth!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

There was a charcoaled female adolescent body found in Pingzhen District of Taoyuan back in 1998, although the cause of death was murder back then, but, there was, zero lead for the police to go on, the law enforcement couldn’t even, identify her, a man in May of last year, came forth, stating that he saw the adolescent female get beaten, the specialist task force arrested the three women and a man who were responsible for the murder of this teen from 1998, and, after the district attorneys interrogated all four individuals, they’d believed, that one of the woman was a primary suspect, prosecuted her on murder, and asked the courts to have her taken into custody, the other woman, He was out on a $50,000N.T. bail, and the police is not ruling out that others are involved in the matter.

On the afternoon of December 9^th, 1998, there was a destroyed body that’s been burned to beyond recognition off the side of the freeway, the police took the evidence, and, couldn’t match it, plus no witness came forth, the killers had been at large since.

But, twenty-one years later, the local police in Miaoli received a call from a man who claimed he’d bore witness, and the man told the police he saw the teen get beaten up and brutally murdered, he’d stated that on the evening of December 7, 1998, there were two men and two women who took the adolescent girl, the seventeen-year-old Lin to the industrial roads of Pingzhen District to confront, they’d accused her of stealing the earnings of the betel nut stand she was working in, of how she’d, falsified the ledgers.

Although the teen denied it, but the group still, ganged up on her, beaten her, strangled her, in the end, the adolescent girl stopped breathing, and fell to the pavement, and the four suspects not only didn’t take her to the hospital, they’d, wrapped her up in tarp, drove to Fudan Road Sec. 4, at a vacant lot, they’d, set her body on fire, then, ran.

Based off of testimony, the man who’d reported this, was a witness to the adolescent female getting beaten to death, and the brutal methods the group used to kill her, stayed inside his mind, haunted him all these years.

And, that fear that the witness carried, he couldn’t, get rid of, and, because of how precisely he’d described what had happened, based off of the evidences taken by the police back then, and he’d passed a polygraph, the police believed he was, a reliable witness, and notified the Taoyuan D.A.’s office to work the case.

The specialist task squad took over a year to finally identify the perpetrators, yesterday, they’d arrested Chen and the woman, Lee, but both denied their involvements, while the other two males who were involved hadn’t been taken into custody yet, but the police had, identified them, and, the police put out an arrest warrant on both, and will arrest them soon.

And so, this corpse of the young woman who was brutally murdered, then burned, finally got a name, and it took the witness, a whole of twenty-one years, to finally come forth, and I’m sure, that this witness must’ve been, troubled since he witnessed the murder up to now, and now, the killers will all get arrested, and charged with murder, and this, belated justice is still finally, SERVED, alas!
