Because the man repeatedly, harassed his daughter, threatened to, kill her, and so, the man, killed him! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
The man, Tsai in Kaohsiung, felt displeased at how the cabdriver, Weng was in pursuit of his daughter, threatening him, “If your daughter dates another man, I will kill her!”, and, as he was chasing Weng off his properties, he’d, stabbed Weng to death. In the first and second trials, the courts considered how there’s the reason for the man, murdering the man who threatened his daughter, and how he’d, turned himself in, sentenced Tsai to six and a half years, and, reduced to six years, two months, but the Highest Courts believed, that due to the two reduced sentences, the maximum sentence should not exceed five years total, and, sentenced Tsai to four years.
Started in November of 2015, the man, Weng started crushing on the woman, Tsai who flagged down his cab often, and, despite how she’d, stated she wasn’t, interested, he’d still, continued, pursuing her, but Tsai started refusing to see him, and cut off all contacts. Weng lost his senses, and started, harassing her, kept calling, or texted her the threats, to the point of driving his cab, and stayed close to Tsai’s house to watch her, and, he’d even knocked on the door in the early mornings, demanded Tsai’s father give him the methods to contact his daughter, and, sent the unsigned letters and notes. Tsai could no longer handle how Weng was harassing the family, and, got into verbal altercations with him regularly, but, even as the man in charge of the borough stepped in to sort through the matter, he’d not, stopped.
At around six in the morn on March 30th, 2017, Weng parked his cab outside Tsai’s residence again, when Tsai demanded that he leaves, they got into a fierce argument. Wang said, “if your daughter starts to date again, I shall kill her!”, “I will have someone take care of you too, had you not been so old!”, Tsai was so angry, he went inside his house, grabbed a fruit knife, and, started, stabbing at Weng who was sitting inside his cab. Weng was stabbed eight times, and, died in the hospital.
During his first trial, Tsai said he’d not planned to murder Weng, “I just wanted to scare him with the knife”; the first trial believed that Tsai had the intent to murder, but considering how Tsai was a good citizen normally, and that being a single father, raising up three children, and was upset of how Weng had harassed him and his family long-term, and could no longer handle the stress, that was why he’d, murdered him. That by the murder charges of the least severe sentence of ten years, it’s still, a bit too heavy, and besides, he’d already, paid two million dollars N.T. to Weng’s mother, that he qualified for the reduced sentence, sentenced him to six years six months.
The second trial believed, that the first trial didn’t consider how Tsai turned himself in, and reduced his sentence, and other than the two million dollars he’d already paid the families, he’d also paid another $1.06 millions N.T., and reached a settlement agreement with the families, plus, Weng was at fault too, gave him the sentence of six years two months. But the highest courts believed, that the second trial failed to consider the fact that he’d turned himself in, how his condition was empathetic, that he should receive, no more than five years, changed the sentence to four years.
And so, because this man got FED up with this loser whom his daughter broke up with, the man had tailed the families, and made the families feel threatened, and the man was only, protecting his own loved ones, and so, the judge took into considerations, that he didn’t plan to murder this loser who’d, harassed his daughter repeatedly, that he was angered at the man’s threats and murdered him, and afterwards, turned himself in, that was why this man only received four years in prison for murder.
