Not the LAST, of THAT, “dying breed” here, I’m afraid, as the weather’s getting more and more, heated up!  Accidental drownings, from the Front Page Sections, because we just need to get cooled down, and we can’t stay AWAY from the waters!  Translated…

A Vietnamese migrant worker, Nguyen took the advantage of the long weekend, went to the Tou-Shan-Keng Creek in Taiping District of Taichung to swim and fish, but because he was unfamiliar with the land formations, he’d missed a step, and fell into the water, the fire department arrived, and found the water in the creek to be about three-meters deep, and the rapids were fast, they’d immediately had the raft boats with three divers going in to search, by the evening, when they finally found Nguyen, he was, already DEAD.

This twenty-two-year-old migrant worker, went with his coworker on his day off yesterday to the creeks near his dormitory to swim and fish, he couldn’t swim, walked to the center of the creek, thinking that the water was shallow, and missed a step, and then, sank into the water, the two other migrant workers who went on the outings with him heard him, turned around, and they’d lost sight of Nguyen, and asked for help from a Taiwanese man who was fishing close by.

Because the weather is getting hotter, hotter, hotter and hotter still, there will be the need to cool off a lot, and, that’s why these drownings are happening right now, because not every where that you can swim is with a lifeguard, and so, you’d headed out to this remote place somewhere far off, and, you weren’t careful enough, and you’d, drowned.  This IS a dangerous environment that we’re living in, especially when you’re NOT familiar with the locations.
