As summer gets, hotter, hotter, hotter, we ALL need to cool ourselves D-O-W-N, and this is why, there are, more drowning accidents now! Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Four high school boys yesterday afternoon went to the tourist attraction in Neiwan, Hsinchu to travel, because of the heat, they’d gone to the Yo-Lo Creek under the Neiwan Bridge for a swim, two boys were suspected of getting taken by the vortex, sucked to the bottom of the lagoon, about an hour later, they were pulled out, and neither was breathing, they were rushed to the hospital, but died. One of the two adolescent males who’d died was an only son of the family, the families cried very hard over him.
The local firefighters told, that that Yolo Creek was NOT a hotspot for swimmers, there were rarely any drowning accidents, but, its deepest was over three-meters, and there was the warning signs of “Deep Water”, “Do NOT Swim Here” warnings, plus, the formations of the whirlpools are quite common by the bridge too, the fire department reminded people to, NEVER swim there, because of how dangerous it is.
Based off of understanding, the four adolescents were classmates of the kinesiology class, they were very close to each other, they’d gone to different high schools, but still maintained contact with one another, and had gone on outings together, and of the drowning victims, Liu was an only son of his family.
At noon yesterday, the four young men went to the tourist attraction street of Neiwan to stroll, because of how hot the weather was getting, they’d decided to go to the Yolo Creek to swim, but they were only swimming for half an hour, as the drowning accident occurred, the students, Liu and Tseng swam to the deeper areas, and were discovered by the other two friends, Chang and Wang to have, drowned.
Chang and Wang told, Liu and Tseng swam toward the water hole by the bridge, and because the water wasn’t rapid, everybody thought it was safe, but, as the two on shore turned their backs, the two who went swimming sunk to the bottom, and never surfaced; they’d called out their names from the shores, and had gone into the water to try to find their friends, but couldn’t, and ended up calling the police.
The local fire department at around 2:17 in the afternoon received the rescue calls, by three, they’d lifted the two males out, both weren’t breathing; the local witnesses stated, that the males were hugging onto one another as they were lifted out of the water. They were both rushed to the hospitals, and resuscitated until four, and both were declared, dead.
And so, you thought it was safe, but it wasn’t, there’s even that DO NOT swim, that DANGER sign on the, which you CHOSE to ignore, because you’re at that age of, “what CAN happen to me???”, and you’re in your teens, and you’d, died, because you FAILED to pay attention to the WARNING signs by the side of that creek, and there was that sign there because??? Oh yeah, DROWNING accidents had happened in that EXACT same spot you went to swim before, and you’d, paid with your LIVES!
