The master student of N.T.U, Chang in 2014, hacked his girlfriend forty-seven times, and kissed the privates of her dead body on the streets, the first trial gave Chang seven counts including murder and rape life sentence, the second trial, on the portion of his hacking his girlfriend up that he was originally allowed to pay a fine for he got sentenced to twenty-one years six months for, on the first retrial, the courts considered how he’d settled with the families of the victim in over tens of millions of dollars, the sentence got reduced to fifteen years. The second retrial of the high subsidiary courts believed, that Chang was vicious in murder, that money can’t make up for the damages he’d caused the families of the victim, changed his sentence back to life in prison yesterday, that his public post stripped for the rest of his life.
Chang’s two counts of rape and desecration of the body got him a total of six years five months, the breaking and entering into his ex’s residence, threatening her with the nude photos, forced behaviors, gaining him a year in prison, but he could pay the fees and not serve the time for, these six counts already settled.
Chang (age 35) while he was in N.T.U., he’d entered the Geekiest Geek Online Gaming Contest and won first place, in 2013, he’d started dating Lin and cohabited, back then, he was an actuary at an accountant’s office, the two of them were too different in personality, and fought frequently.
Chang set up for the trip for the two of them to Japan, found that in the selfie his girlfriend took, there was a man’s trousers in the shot, was overcome with jealousy, and, forced himself onto her twice without her consent, took the nude photos, the woman was firm on breaking up with him. He’d suspected that she has another man, on September 21st, 2014, he wrote two suicide notes, the following morn, he’d gone to Lin’s residence with a knife and threatened her, “I want to be your boyfriend for one last day in my life”, as Lin struggled and broke free, he’d hacked her forty-seven times, saw she’d fallen down, and right then and there, he’d, pulled down her underwear, and kissed her pubic area, then, started mutilating himself.
During the first retrial, Chang settled with Lin’s parents for $11.45 million N.T.s, sentenced to fifteen years. The Highest Courts believed, that the first retrial based its verdict on how Chang was set on dying after he’d murdered the woman, that it’d, not considered the act of murder, lacking the reasons, and, tossed the case back to the original court for a retrial.
On the second retrial, the premeditation was confirmed, and that he was in a sane state of mind when he’d murdered, in the broad daylight, he’d, committed the brutal murder, that the victim was in the prime of her life, the families’ loss can’t be repaired, that giving him the termed sentences won’t be able to make up for it. And because Chang had paid the money to the victim’s families, tried to make up for his murder, and showed normal behaviors in prison, that he’d not met the requirement for death penalty yet, that the life sentence would be according to principle.
And so, this loser will spend the rest of his lifetime inside that four-by-four (or however large those cells are), thinking about WHAT he’d done wrong, and he will get gnawed, by his own, guilty conscience until he dies, and that, would be JUST for what he’d done, and besides, the death penalty would be too lenient for him anyways, this sort of a LOSER deserved to get haunted by his own guilty conscience for the rest of his life!
