She sat, watching her days fade, and, not felt a thing, she’d become, totally unaware of her, surrounding environment, she doesn’t even, recognize that favorite youngest son of hers anymore!
Watching her days fade, that, is all she can do, in her elderly years, they told her families, that she has dementia, and she’d, progressed, into, the more severe stages of it. She’s now, returned to her, infancy state, needing around-the-clock care, diaper changes, feeding through that feeding tube.
Watching her days fade, well, it hadn’t, faded out, completely, not yet anyways, there’s, that vacant look in her eyes that’s, lost that light now. And, as people come and go all around her, she was, unaware of, their existence in her life…
Watching her days fade, there’s, nothing left for her to do, but to just, wait, for death, it’s just, that death still, hadn’t, come to, claim her yet, and, she’d started, regressing, over a decade ago in counting.
