The parents who’d sent their young to a reputable preschool in Linkou, Hsinbei disclosed, that as her daughter accidentally tipped over her lunch at school and started crying, the teacher lost control emotionally, covered up her mouth, to the point that her daughter couldn’t breathe, and one of the students forgot to bring the spoon, and can only use her/his hands to eat, the school used this to make a statement, and the teacher and the head of the offices apologized to the parents multiple times, the teacher said she was willing to should all the responsibilities too by quitting; as for the matter of covering up a child’s mouth, the Department of Education mandated the preschool to provide related information, to investigate further, and demanded that the school suspended the workers who were involved.
The parent, Tsai on the Group of FB (LinKou-Family) posted, that last June she’d sent her daughter to the second year of a certain English school, because she’d tipped over her lunches for two days on end, she was upset, and that the teacher lost her control, told her to “shut up!”, and led her to the bathrooms, covered up her mouth forcefully, and because she’d eaten too slowly, she was locked by her teacher in the classroom without any lights on.
Another parents disclosed from the same forum, that in March, because her daughter forgot to bring the spoon to school one day, she can only eat the snacks in the morning, in the afternoon, as well as lunch with her hand, and it’d made the parents decided to pull the young girl from the class.
The preschool’s statement told, that the incident of making the child eat with her hand was because the snack in the morning were strawberries, the teachers made the children wash up then, used their hands to grab the food, the snack in the afternoon were soy milk and buns, there wasn’t need for a spoon for it, during lunch time, the teacher was too focused on writing the communications in the assignment books that she’d, not noted how the child was picking the food up with her hands and eating it; and, in the process of communication, the teacher and the manager apologized repeatedly to the parents, and the teacher stated she was willing to take full responsibility for the matter, by quitting her teaching post.
The Department of Education stated, that the matter of the child’s getting her mouth covered up by the teacher is already being investigated, and they’d demanded the camera footages, and everything to check, and at the same time, they’d asked the related officials to stop working. And, if there are the improper actions that were, confirmed, then, everything will be sent to the review board, the justice department, and if the school covered up, then, they will be fined up to $450,000N.T. at the most.
And so, we don’t know who’s right and who’s wrong here, but, based off of the title of this one, you would deduct, that something WAS happening, and yet, from the reports, it didn’t seem like a big thing, and, the snack for that day was strawberries, and the teachers told the kids to wash their hands and just grab them to eat, and, the teachers should BE watching the kids more closely no doubt, but, the parents might be making something out of nothing here, we can’t tell, based off of what’s stated on here for now!
