How they refused to get beaten down by what life (or fate) had, handed them!  True inspirations here, off of the Newspapers, translated…

There were three winners from Yilan of the “2020 Presidential Educational Award”, the student, Hu from Nanao Elementary was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and because of his condition, it’d affected his speech and ability to write, but he is very articulate in expressing his own opinions, is an angel to a lot of people, with his optimism; the student from Langyang Technical School, Chen with muscular dystrophy never got defeated by his own fate, gave lectures all around, raised funding, earned the scholarship moneys to pay for his own transportation and nurses’ aides fees, all to reduce the burdens on his grandmother’s shoulders.

The Yilan County government told, that Hu, from the Atayal tribes, as he was born, he was a premature baby of only a little over 900 grams, and because he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, with multiple disabilities, needed to get around on a wheelchair, and despite what he faces in his life, he still carries that optimism; Hu told, that even though he couldn’t walk, but his mind is free, even though he couldn’t write, but there are so many thoughts he world, he has, that he wanted to share with the world, he’d wanted to tell the world, that a world filled up with love, is also, a blissful one.

Chen, because of the rare condition of spinal muscular atrophy, because he had severe scoliosis, he couldn’t take care of himself daily, and all of his daily living needs, he’d relied on his own grandmother for, but he’d never wallowed in self-pity, the biggest wish he had, is to finish college.

Cheng who is studying at the maritime occupational academy in Suao lost her father when she was very young, she’d married with her Vietnamese mother to Taiwan, back then, she didn’t know a single word of Chinese, but with her hardworking mannerism, the ability to learn, she’d, surpassed the language barrier that she had, entered into the accountant abilities competitions, and received first place of the whole of Yilan County; after school, she’d gone to the vegetable patch to plant the vegetables, taken the produce to the marketplaces to sell, she was selected into the unspecified major of Chingwha University bachelor’s program, the very first student in her school’s history.

Wu, a last year student from Jinghu Middle School in Kinmen was raised in poverty, in order to help her mother out, she’d looked after her younger sister, and helped her mother during the recovery phases of birth too, to cook, and other household chores, she’s very good, at proving her capabilities to those who know her.

And so, despite all the lemons handed them by fate, they’d still, strived for success, and they got exactly, just that, these group of young men and women, are good examples of how if we work hard, we will be able to, overcome many of the obstacles in our lives too!
