This is really bad, because if a ton of school here does this, then, WHERE the HELL can kids today go, to get a better education??? Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
The cradle for professional baseball players, the private high school in Tucheng, Hsinbei City, Zhonghwa High School, applied to terminate the school with the Department of Education back in April, yesterday, the school hosted a meeting of the school affairs board, and voted on whether or not the school shouldn’t pass the stop enrollment, although, the majority voted yes, but, it’d not pass fifty-percent of the teaching body; the teachers ached, “all the executive managers, and the employees in the offices all voted yes”, if these past few years, the school didn’t want to keep the registration of the students going, “how can this be a good school?”, the teachers hoped the Department of Education can step in on the matter, “so us teachers can start running the school ourselves”.
Yesterday at the school board meeting, there were a total of thirty-seven members who are on the board, and only thirty-three individuals showed, and, there were fifteen of those who’d shown up at the meeting who were for the stopping of registration, and fourteen who voted no, including all the office workers, and the small number of the instructors had voted, yes, while the other teachers, and the entire student body voted for the school to keep going. The principal was the head of this meeting, and he’d, voted yes for the school to close, and the votes were sixteen for school closing, fourteen for it to keep going, and both didn’t pass the majority. Teachers sighed, “whether it be the student affairs, the head of teaching, personnel, the head of counselors, all voted for the school to close, how can this school improve for the better?”, the school only handed the instructors a few desks, the course catalogues, and the banners, and sent them out of the school to the try to enroll more students, and, the school wasn’t active enough, to connect to the teaching curricula of the middle school levels, but the teachers couldn’t get more students register on their own, some teacher said, “I was still out, trying to get more students enrolled, and they’re, closing down the school now.”
Toward this, the principal, Bien stated, that the school is active in trying to get more students to enroll into the programs, and had the middle school students enter the campus to see the courses being taught, he’d accused, that the some of the teachers believed, the enrollment wasn’t, a part of their, responsibilities.
Two days ago, the Department of Education stated, that they’d, tossed back the application of the school’s filing to terminate the school, and, they’re, working to counsel the school officials on the 2020 school year to terminate the school completely. The Department of Education stated, that if the school is to stop registering the students, they’d needed to provide a full report, with the plans of terminating enrollment, and the specifics, and after the board of the school, along with the school’s internal affairs unit agreed upon this, then, they can, file for the termination of the school with the Department of Education.
And so, for whatever reasons there may be, this school didn’t want to keep going, maybe, it’s from the impacts of reduced birth rates, of how the teachers on the staff are getting older, lost their love for teaching whatever it may be, this is really bad, because, there are, more school doing this, and, if the school stopped operating, how the HECK can the kids today, get their needed education, we can’t, all homeschool our own children now, can we???
