This is, the law enforcement, going, OVERBOARD, in testing this, FIVE-YEAR-OLD kid, for “drunk-riding”, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
There was, an Electric Tesla Car, Bought Less than a Month Ago in Dali District of Taichung, Two Days Ago, as the Car Was, Parked in the Alleys, and, a Five-Year-Old Young Boy Bumped into it, Riding His Bicycle, Causing a Dent on the Side, the Police was Notified, and Gave the Five-Year-Old a Breathalyzer Test, and in the Process of Blowing into the Breathalyzer, the Five-Year-Old Was Trembling, He Became Pale, it Took the Police Having the Child Blow FIVE Times to Finally Get a Reader, the Owner of the Vehicle, Yang Streamed the Videos of How the Police Handled the Matter Online, and Labeled the Footage as “Five-Year-Old Tested for Operating a Motor vehicle in Suspicions of Intoxication”, it’d Caused the Online Community to Question Whether or Not the Police Went Overboard in Enforcing the Laws.
The child’s mother stated, as she’d heard the police told her that they were administering a breathalyzer test for her son, she was so surprised ,because he is so young, and, the breathalyzer wouldn’t be, necessary and, throughout the process of administering the breathalyzer, her son began, trembling hard, she’d suggested to amend the laws in areas of motor vehicle, to not affect the psychological developments of a child; she said, this incident gave her son a lesson, the boy’s family and the Tesla owner settled the matter with the boy’s family paying $3,000N.T. for the damages the child had, caused.

The head of the local district attorney’s office, Lee believed, that the punishments for children under fourteen is none, if the laws of traffic safety are violated, the parents or legal guardians can be fined, the victim can ask for the damages to be paid for by the child’s parents, the police used the laws of “driving slowly, because of being under the influence” to administer the breathalyzer to the boy, that the police weren’t wrong in applying the breathalyzer, but, they may have gone, overboard.
Lee pointed out, based off of normal reasoning, there wouldn’t be a high enough chance, for a five-year-old child to drink alcohol, and the police can observe the child, from the way he looked, was his face red, did he wreak of alcohol, is he behaving normally, to determine if the child is drunk, there wasn’t a necessity, for the child to be administered a breathalyzer.
The Wufeng Police Substation’s Nei-Hsin assistant office director, Hong told, that the boy rode his bicycle, turned left in the alleys, and, rammed into the Tesla that’s parked temporarily by the side of the road, back then, the owner of the Tesla was unloading cargo by the side, and because the paint on the side of his car had been scraped off by the child, the police were merely, following protocol of the traffic accidents, that no matter the age, both parties needed a breathalyzer test, that there wasn’t, any inappropriate measures being, taken in the processes.
The owner of the Tesla, Yang posted two days ago, that someone had hit his car earlier elsewhere, and ran off in the morn, and in that same afternoon, his car was, bumped into again, but the young boy who rode his bicycle had, stayed behind, and told him, “I ran into your car”, he wanted to commend the kid on his strong sense of responsibility, that was why he’d, posted the article.
and here’s that video, from YouTube
During the breathalyzer, the child was, trembling so hard, someone close by taught the boy, “just like you’re, blowing into a balloon”, but the first time, the breathalyzer didn’t take his reading, the child’s face turned white after the first blow, the police asked Yang to demonstrate for him, as the child watched Yang do it, his body was still, trembling hard, after the adults around managed, to calm him down, he’d, finally got the reading done, after five whole tries.
The Wufeng Substation stated, that this five-year-old, was the youngest individual, involved in a traffic call who was made to complete a breathalyzer test, the substation will push for the rule of not making young children do the breathalyzer in traffic accidents such as this one in the future.
Uh yeah, the kid must’ve, gone out, and downed, say??? Five bottles of B-E-E-R, before he decided to RIDE his bicycle home DRUNK, and, on his way home, he’d, RAMMED into that Tesla that was, unloading something, uh, this is, BULLSHIT! For starters, a kid that young, probably wasn’t DRINKING (you MORONS who came up with the protocols of administering the breathalyzer in ALL cases of traffic accidents!), secondly, imagine how fucking scared this kid must be, that he’d, already, RAMMED into some dude’s car, and now, the police are, making him, breathe, into that breathalyzer, and, we all know, how kids are, all afraid of, C-O-P-S, and, imagine how this memory, will cause this young kid, to start fearing everybody wearing a uniform, even when s/he wasn’t a police officer from here on out. This is, enforcing the laws, going, O-V-E-R-B-O-A-R-D here!!!
