What this man should’ve been charged with should be NEGLIGENCE HOMICIDE!!! Because you weren’t careful enough, two young children’s lives were, lost, off of the Front Page Sections, translated…
Two Years Ago, the Seven-Year-Old Young Daughter Went Swimming in the Streams, Got Carried Away by the Water, the Couple Divorced, Last Year as the Man Took His Six-Year-Old Son Fishing, the Child Fell into the Creek, and, Went Missing, the Man Charged with Manslaughter.
The 39-year-old man, Chien last August, took his six-year-old son to the creek close to their home in Wulai to fish, but his son fell into the water and went missing, his body was discovered, TEN days afterwards; as the Taipei D.A.’s Office investigated the matter, they’d believed that before Chien went fishing, he’d left his own young son all alone, unsupervised by the shores, that he was, negligent, charged him with neglectful death.
The man, Chien had two daughters and a son, the seven-year-old eldest daughter, two years ago in July, swam in the same regions and drowned, afterwards, he and his wife divorced, a year later, as his only son went fishing with him again, he’d died too; the locals told, after Chien took care of his own young son’s final affair, he’d left his own younger daughter in his own elderly mother’s care, already left the place that’s caused him too much sorrows.
The district attorneys and police investigated, that Chien originally worked as a tour bus driver, the family was of native blood Wulai, they lived about thirty meters away from the Nanshi Creek, and the family wasn’t well off economically.
Last year on August 26th at three in the afternoon, Chien took his six-year-old son to under the bridge to fish, as Chien cast down the nets, he’d found his son missing, he’d notified the villagers to help him search, as well as call to the rescuers too, they’d searched for days on end, and not found his son, then, ten days afterwards, they’d discovered the body, caught, between the rocks downstream.
Chien’s eldest daughter last year on July 29th, while her families weren’t watching her, went swimming with an older cousin at the underpass of the bridge, the two were carried off by the rushing streams, the older cousin was rescued, his daughter wasn’t found, until August 1st, did her body turn up three kilometers out, downstream. His two children died in the same areas two years apart.
Chien told, that since his eldest daughter drowned, he’d, forbidden his children to go anywhere NEAR the creeks; that day he’d gone to Nanshi Creek to fish, because he’d wanted to get something nutritious for his own elderly mother, and to sell off what he’d caught extra for some money, his young son begged him to take with him, he’d originally told him no, but, the son made too big a fuss. As they got to the creek, he’d told his young son to stay by the shores, to NOT get close to the water, as he saw his son safe, he’d, gone to cast the nets, but, as he’d, turned around, his son was, gone.
The police said, Chien loved living free up in the mountains, the villagers thought he’d, gone up the mountains to hunt, later on, they’d noted how he’d left the place of heartache to work, and the youngest daughter had, moved with his own mother into another tribal village; the Nanshi Creek is very rapid flowing, and as there’d been, multiple accidents, the locals banned their own young to play anywhere near it already!
And so, because you weren’t, keeping an eye on your own young, that’s why they’d, drowned to death, and, you’d not learned from that first loss, that’s why, you’d had another child taken from you, and you shouldn’t have, left your own young son alone, because children have the tendency, to get themselves into trouble, and this IS, negligence!!!
