The Young Girl Was Touched by Foreign Male English Instructor to Becoming Depressed, the Instructor Claimed it was a Misunderstanding

Because of the lacking in cultural differences awareness, and because this male instructor touched this young child so many times, it’d, made her show symptoms of depression, and now her parents, are SUING!!!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

A foreign male instructor of a certain chain cram school in Tainan, last year around Christmas he had a one-on-one makeup session with a ten year old student, during the one-on-one session, he’d played with the ten-year-old girl’s hair, touched her shoulders and her back too, the child felt disgusted afterwards, the parents sued the foreign instructor; the police reviewed over the surveillance footages, and believed that the male instructor had, engaged in sexual harassment toward the young girl, they’d sent the case to the Social Services Department.

The male instructor said that it was because of the cultural differences that it was a misunderstanding, he’d, filed for an appeal.

The manager of the Domestic Violence Prevention Center of Tainan, Su stated, that the case is investigated by the police department, and that the charges of sexual harassment had been, confirmed, the case is being sent to review again, it’ll take three months at latest, for everything to get reviewed over again.

If the charges were true, then, the foreign male instructor will get fined from between $10,000N.T. to $100,000N.T., based off of the sexual harassment prevention regulations.

The Tainan Department of Education stated, that the accused foreign male instructor, if the charges of sexual harassments were confirmed, the most severe treatment would be that he would become registered, as an unfitting instructor, and he shall, NEVER be hired again.  Currently, the instructor already transferred from the teaching post, the cram school said, that if the investigations proved what he did was illegal, then, he shall be, fired.

The police reviewed over the surveillance footages in the classroom, found that during the two-hours the male instructor had with the female student, he had, reached to touch her long hair, and patted her shoulders and back, causing the child to feel uncomfortable, that sexual harassment is thus, confirmed, and the police sent the case to the Domestic Violence Prevention Center of Tainan to rule on.

The center stated, that they’d sent the social workers to the families, to offer the young girl, her families the emotional support, that they will assist the child and her families in the psychological counseling if needed, based off of the resources that they have.

Based off of understanding, the foreign male instructor, when being interrogated, denied the intent of sexual harassment, stated that it was due to cultural differences that this misunderstanding had, occurred.

So, based off of this, one thing’s for certain, it’s that this child felt uncomfortable, getting patted by the foreign male instructor, and, maybe, the foreign instructor failed to realize, that there are, the varied levels of acceptance of physical contact between where he came from and here, as the Asian countries are less open to these sorts of things, but the child felt uncomfortable, and so, the male instructor is being charged.
