A case of arson occurred at a lotto ticket shop two evenings ago on Zongxing Road, Sec. 1 of Hsintien, Hsinbei City, after the man, Lin had a verbal altercation with his older sister, he’d set the fires inside the lotto ticket shop his family owned to blow off some steam, causing his mother to die, as she wasn’t able to escape on time, and his older sister had third-degree burns on her limbs, she’s currently in the hospitals, being resuscitated now.
After Lin committed the arson, he’d escaped to a net café in Taipei, then, went to stay at a room in a hotel at Ximenting, yesterday, the police arrested him at the hotel, the Taipei D.A.’s office asked the courts to have him taken into custody.
Based off of understanding, Lin (age 36) worked in the lotto ticket shop owned by his families, lived with his parents, while his older sister works in Kaohsiung, she’d only come home around the New Year’s to help with the odds and ends of the lotto ticket shop owned by their parents.
At around six in the evening on the fourth of the Chinese New Year, after Lin had a verbal altercation with his older sister, he saw his sister talking with his father, suspected that she was talking trash about him behind his back, he’d left his home angrily, took the plastic containers, bought the gas from a gas station, returned home at a little past nine, poured the gas onto the shopfront, as well as onto his sister’s body, committed arson, then, escaped.
Back then, the fire was spreading quickly, Lin’s father attempted to put out the flames, as the fire department and the police arrived, the fire was put out shortly thereafter, and they’d, saved the two people who were, inside the house, but Lin’s mother died of severe injuries, while his older sister sustained third-degree burns.
Through the street surveillance, the police was able to follow Lin, found that after he’d committed arson, he’d, entered into a super convenience shop to buy the flipflops, then, headed to the wholesales mart for a coat, then, took the MRT to Ximenting.
As Lin arrived at Ximenting, he’d bought a casing of beer, went to the net café, drank and played the online games, in the end, he’d, gone to the hotel on Zhonghwa Road for a stay.
At around three in the morn, the police arrested Lin, back then, Lin was, fast asleep, as he was arrested he’d, remained, silent, in the interrogations, he’d told the police, that he suspected his older sister was talking trash about him behind his back, that was what caused him to commit the arson.
And so, there may be a case of mental illness untreated, or, it just might be how this man finally, CRACKED, and, there’s no excuse for what he’d done, the fire he’d set, murdered his own mother, and, caused his older sister to be hospitalized, in critical condition. This is a man who’d still, CRACKED way too easily!!!
