The Motorist Got Killed Because He Couldn’t Dodge the Car Door Opening, the Mother of the Fourteen-Year-Old Adolescent Male Who’d Opened the Car Door Found Guilty, Sentenced to Eight Months in Prison

Because the son was a minor, and, so, his mother took the responsibilities for his carelessness that got a motorist killed, and this accidental death still could’ve been easily, avoided, and it still, wasn’t, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The woman, Chen from Changwha parked her car suddenly by the side of the road, her son in the passenger side, as he was getting out, didn’t watch the traffic from behind him, causing the motorist, Lin’s unable to dodge, he was hit by the car doors, and taken to the hospitals, where he was bedridden for five whole months, he had bedsores, which caused him to have pneumonia, and he’d, died, of multiple organ failure from the septic shocks.  The Changwha District Court found Chen guilty of manslaughter, sentenced him to eight months in prison, and his underage son was, given reprimands.

In 2017, Chen was taking her son to get his haircut, as she drove eastbound from Jen-Ai Road, as she’d parked by the side of the roads, her fourteen-year-old son asked to get out of the car?  Chen didn’t make sure that there was no oncoming traffic and agreed, as her son opened the door, he’d, turned around to pick up the sketchbook in the back, causing the motorist, Lin to impact suddenly, he’d, sustained multiple fractures on his body.

The police investigated, that the section where this accident happened, had only two lanes, the white lines are the borders, with 3.1 meters away from the buildings on the side of the streets, although there were the cars and scooters parked by the sections of this road back then, there are, still other spaces where Chen could’ve, parked her car more safely, she’d, broken the laws on “emergency parking by the side of the road, along the shoulders”.

Chen’s son stated, that it’d only taken him matter of a few seconds to turn around, to get his sketch book, that his actions aren’t related to the motorist, Lin’s death, but the judge believed, that as Lin saw the car door opened, he was, already very close to it, that there was, no way he would be able, to dodge it, that he wasn’t, at fault, but the cause of his death, was an accidental one.

The courts considered how Chen admitted to what she did was wrong, but because of her trying economic conditions, other than the forced payments of four million dollars N.T., there’s nothing more she could pay, she couldn’t, reach a settlement agreement with the victim’s families, she was sentenced to eight months in prison for manslaughter, this ruling can be appealed.

And so, this, is a tragic accident, and it also showed, how you need to, watch where you’re going, and NOT to drive or ride so fast, and this could’ve, easily been, avoided, but it still, wasn’t!
