The Pickup Truck Crashed, the Driver Flew Out of the Windshield, Died, from Falling Off of the Bridge

Another, ACCIDENTAL D-E-A-T-H, from operating a vehicle here!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

Yesterday morning, the man, Chen drove his pickup truck onto Freeway 3 southbound to the Kaohsiung, Pingdong City Lines, He was Suspected of Losing Control of the Vehicle, Slammed into the Railings on the Freeway, then, Skidded Across Three Lanes, Hit the Railings on the Side, Chen was Tossed from the Car, Fell 23 Meters Downward, onto the Surfaces of the Bridge Down Below, Died of Serious Physical Injuries.  The Police Suspected that Chen Didn’t Put on His Seatbelts, He’d been Fatigued Behind the Wheels, the Families Rushed to Pingdong Last Night to Understand What May Have Caused Him to Drive Off the Bridge, the D.A. Ordered an Autopsy to Clarify the Cause of His Death Today.

Ten years ago, there was, a tour bus, flipping off the roads off of the side of the slope, causing seven deaths, twenty-one injuries; afterwards, the speed cameras were installed, but there are still, many drivers who’d, driven over the speed limits, and this section of the freeway was identified as one of the most dangerous sections.

The fifth squad from the Highway Police yesterday at 7:28 in the morning, received a call from the Kaohsiung police department, said that there was a car accident on the bridge, but as they arrived, they only saw the pickup, and not the driver, after they’d searched around the area, they’d found the driver, they’d finally discovered him lying under the bridge, the highway patrol called up the fire department; but by the time the firefighters arrived, the man already died, from his severe head injuries.

The police found, that the truck was registered under a business in Chiayi, and positively identified the driver as Chen; they’d reviewed over the traffic camera footage, found that the pickup truck was passing on the 387K marker of the freeway, drove to the inside lanes, there weren’t any other cars around, then suddenly, the car tilted to the left, rammed into the inner railings, then, swung across the roads in a ninety-degree angle, rammed toward the outside railings of the freeway.

The scene of the accident, there was a several meter long skid mark, scratch mark, the front of the car was, totaled, the right side of the truck was bent completely out of shape, the windshield and the windows, all shattered, because there wasn’t signs of the safety belt snapped off, the police suspected that Chen may have flew out of the windshield, and fell under the bridge.

Because there was NO signs of other traffic, the police suspected that Chen may have been driving fatigued, plus he was going above the speed limit, and found his car swerving on the roads, he’d, immediately tried to steer the car back suddenly, then, lost control of the vehicle, but the precise cause of the accident is still, under investigations; Chen’s families went to Pingdong to identify his body, and, if Chen was driving too tired, if he’d been intoxicated, the police and D.A. will see as the autopsy report comes out today.

And so, this, is likely, a case of driving at high speed, because there’s no other cars around, and therefore, the driver’s more than likely, to drive too fast, and, he wasn’t, wearing the safety belts, and that, is what caused this man to die.

This still just showed, how important it is, to make SURE you have your seatbelts on you, and you’re not, driving above the speed limit, because fast cars, and not wearing seat belts, are the primary causes of fatalities in crashes.
