As I Aged Slowly, Thoughts from the Wilderness

When there’s, no better options between the two candidates, we’re, still, voting for one, translated…

As the body grew cold, the heart became, messy too, and, I’d, wanted to, write the world well, but, they all, went on their, campaigns, and took the numbers.

I’m off to recite the Buddhist verse now, the dews written out a passage in yellowed needles of pines, deleted the pine cones that fell all over the ground, two pairs of gulls passed by that perfumed ocean without borders, as well, as my brains.

The semi-oval crystal magnifying paperweight made a character appeared bigger, distorted, half the man, and, bent up a volume of Buddhist verses.

And so, this, is how politics worked, it can, make you believe just about anything, because you let it trick you, because you’re, so desperate, to find something better, when deep down we all know, that it won’t, get any better, but we’re still, more than, inclined to go to the polls, and vote, for the, lesser of two evils!
