Hitting someone, not realizing, that you’d, killed him, because you’re, too SHOCKED that you’d, hit someone!  Off of the Front Page Sections, translated…

In Sanchong yesterday around midnight, there was a motor accident of a driver of a car, suspecting of running a red light, killing an eighteen-year-old motorist, the motorist flew off his motorcycle, crashed into the windshield of the driver’s car, then, bounced to the middle of the street, he’d landed on his head, and died.  As the police inquired the owner of the vehicle, Lin what had happened, he was suspected of being in shock, and couldn’t answer, his memories went, blank, after the driver was sent to Hsinbei D.A.’s Office to question, the D.A. charged him with vehicular manslaughter, set his bail at $30,000N.T.s.

The teen, Lee (age 18) who was killed, rode out on his own from Taipei, toward Sanchong, as he was getting off the bridge, to go straight onto Chong-An Street, he’d, crashed into Lin (age 37) who was suspected of running a red light, driving a white sedan.

The impact was enormous, the teen, smashed into the windshield of Lin’s sedan, then, bounced off, flew onto the pavement, five-meters away, he’d, crashed onto the pavement, head first, and lost his life, rushed to the N.T.U. Hospital for emergency resuscitation, but suffered severe head trauma, and multiple fractures on his body, he’d, died.

Based off of understanding, the driver, Lin, claimed that the accident happened so fast, he was on his way home to Sanxia, he couldn’t, remember what happened, if the lights were red or green, just realized he’d slammed on the brakes after he’d hit the teen; the nearby betel nut stand told, that they’d heard a loud BANG, followed by the brakes, screeching, as they’d come out, the adolescent was, already, lying on the pavements.

Yesterday, the teen’s families went to the streets, to perform the rituals of calling his soul back, based off of understanding, the teen and his families live in Banciao, the family had no clue why he was out on the streets at four in the morn on the streets of Sanchong.

Afterwards, Lin, the driver was, taken to give a statement in the police station, as the police reviewed the surveillance, because of the angle, no camera captured what had happened, and because it was the long holidays, the shops were, all closed too, they’d needed to, examine the evidence, to find out exactly, what had happened, to cause this fatal crash.

And so, as the driver of the sedan came off the bridge, he must’ve, thought that it was late, and that there wouldn’t be anybody else, and that was why, he’d, sped, and ran through the red light, and, killed that teen motorist, this still just showed, how even if you’re carefully enough in operating your vehicle, you still, can’t be certain, that someone else is, operating, with the exact same amount of cautiousness in her/his vehicle.  This is one more case, of dangers on the roads.
