Come, Sit on My Knees…

Come, sit on my knees, he’d told her as a child, and, she’d, hopped toward him, and, climbed, into his lap…

Come, sit on my knees, became this, ritual they’d, come to share, and, as she got older, whenever he’d called out to her, she’d, still, gone to him, to sit on his knees, she never realized, what he was doing, was EVIL!

Come, sit on my knees, he’d told her, and, as, she’d, climbed into his lap, he’d, started, stroking her bare naked back gently, the way you would, touching, the wings, of a butterfly, and, it’d, made her giggle.

You like that, huh?  He’d said, then, he’d, moved his hands, down and back to the front.  Come, sit on my knees, she’d, still heard his voice, now that she’s, an adult, and, more educated, and, she had, CRIED her eyes out, after she realized, that he’d, betrayed her trust…

Come, sit on my knees, she’d heard the wind whispered, her mind started, rejecting, but, her body, it’d, ventured, into the night, to find that voice that called out to her gently.

Come, sit on my knees, she’d, opened up her legs wide now as an adult, as she’d, climbed onto the lap, of the man she was, in love with, or maybe it wasn’t, love she was, after, she was, still, trying, to find what went missing, after he’d died, that sense of caress, that sense of, too-wrong-to-be-right, kind of, interaction, she’d, shared, with her, grandfather, long, long, long, long, long ago, from her, already, forgotten, childhood years.
