Based off of understanding, the “truth serum” in an unknown substance which can suppress the nerves of the central nervous systems, is highly addictive, and had been used often as a date rape drug, the side effects include: sleepiness, nausea, memory loss. The senior detectives believed that this drug can’t make people tell the truth, at most, it only makes the victims answer questions unconsciously.

The verdict stated, that in 2016 when Lee was still a college student, he’d met the woman, Hu in an extracurricular activity, and started, crushing on her, wanted to tell her he loves her, but feared rejection, he’d bought the “truth serum” online at the end of May that year, and, as he was alone with Hu, he’d, mixed the drug into her drinks. Lee saw the drugs are working, and asked Hu, “Do you like me?”, but because the victim was dizzy, she’d, gone in and out of consciousness, and had other symptoms, she’d not, answered him.
As Hu’s parents saw that she’d not come home, they’d rushed to school, back then, Hu had a bag of fried chicken steaks, but couldn’t remember buying them, her parents took her to the hospital, and the hospital tested her positive for benzodiazepines, they’d reported it to the police. Lee admitted to drugging Hu, claimed, “if I could know if she liked me, then, I might find the courage to tell her I love her”, that he’d never, intended, to hurt her.
On the criminal front, the courts took into considerations that Lee plead guilty, sentenced him to four months, and he could pay a fine and skip serving the time. On the civil front, after Hu pressed charges, she’d become, unstable, locked herself inside her room for a whole year, couldn’t follow her own plans of taking her teacher’s examinations, she’d asked for $300,000N.T. in payment. The judge considered both their economics, and mandated that Lee pay Hu $200,000N.T.s.
And so, this, is juvenile, and STUPID, because you’re afraid that she might tell you that she doesn’t like you, you’d decided, to DRUG her, so you can get the truth from her, but, you’d, broken the laws, and, hurt this woman that you claimed that you loved, so, how is THAT love, huh???
