Something, that might, work…from the Front Page Sections, translated…
Yesterday the skies were blue in Taipei, the green grasses became, even greener on the Yangming Mountain, I was listening to the tour guide explaining, how the Taiwanese water chives had, interacted with the acidity in the rain, the lava of the volcano, how it’d, made this, perfect match.
Then, another guide told us to sit down by the platforms, to close our eyes. Take a deep breath in, count from one to eight; hold the breaths in, count to four; breathe, count to eight, hold, to four, repeat many times we all, had. In the serenity, we heard, felt the earth, the sounds of, nature.
The wind came across our ears, the eagle circled high up above, the frogs, croaked on, the insects called, we’d, gotten a chance, to enjoy this, peace and quiet, leaving the world behind us temporarily.
There is, great biodiversity here, we’d not needed to, go out of our ways, to find I, in the lead of the knowledgeable tour guides, we will gain something new each, and every time.
Allowing traveling across the country to slowly become a trend getting closer to the land here, whether it be the volcanic ring of the Datung Mountains, the Snowy Mountains, or the Central Mountain Ranges too, or, the wetlands, the beaches of Kenting, these are all, classrooms made by nature, waiting, for us, to explore.
Giving the assistance money given to the implementing of these, nature tours, train the guides, encourage the drifting younger generations to return back home to find work, so they can, “sell off” the good things in their local regions.
Loving one’s hometown, loving the land, allowing the hearts of these tour guides to connect with the tourists, to become, the biggest force in tourism, and, the biotours will, become the never-ending source of livelihood, and why would there need to be a fear, of how the Chinese tourists won’t come anymore?
The land is beautiful, and is healing, this, is the primary driving force, for advocating the people in this country to travel more, why would we, need to, look, elsewhere?
There are, the developments of these national parks, of these, beautiful places, sure, but, the people in this country, well, they’re, just not, as acculturated as those tourists from China can be, and, unless we up the qualities of the tourists in Taiwan, what the writer proposes here, won’t work!
