Yo was locked out of his rental place because he’d owed $150N.T. in rent, he couldn’t go home, he’d called up his landlord, Kuo, and couldn’t win in the altercations, he’d bought a fruit knife, stabbed the man to death then, tossed the knife away at the temple, claimed it was to “rid himself of the sins”. The Hsinbei District Court charged him with murder, gave Yo the life sentence, and stripped him of his public service position for life. This can be appealed.
The D.A. and police investigated, that the 35-year-old Yo had priors in drugs, theft, as well as attempted murder, was listed as a person of interest in Yonghe District. Because his job was unstable, he couldn’t pay the $1,900N.T. rent, he’d agreed to meet up with his landlord, and paid the $300N.T. deposit and moved in, but he’d delayed paying the rent a lot, and they’d argued on the matter multiple times before.
Last year on September 16th, Yo only paid $150N.T.s of his rent, he was locked out by the landlord, he’d gone to confront the man, and get the door open, and the landlord told him no, Yo became displeased, run to the nearby grocery store, picked up a knife, and a bottle of alcohol, then, headed back to murder the landlord; after the landlord was stabbed, although he was able to run outside to get help from passersby, but he was stabbed on the left side of his chest, he’d still died, from losing too much blood.
“Although I had gotten high, but I’m still not crazy enough to murder, the whole thing was an accident.”, in court, Yo stated that it was out of anger that he’d wanted to make his landlord feel threatened, that was what the knife he bought was used for that he’d not planned to murder the man, but as the police interrogated him earlier, he’d admitted to what he’d done, and told them that he’d tossed away the knife to get rid of his own sins, his words were inconsistent, and wasn’t, taken into account.
Based off of the evidence, the murder victim had a fourteen-centimeter depth stab wound on his chest, roughly the same length of the blade of the fruit knife, that Yo had, thrusted in the entire blade, and witnesses testified that as Yo was arguing with the landlord, his eyes looked murderous, and the courts ruled that he had multiple priors, that he was a continual criminal, gave him the life sentence.
And so, the punishment here, finally, fitted the crime (for once!), and this man had, murdered his landlord, because of such a small amount of money, and, had he not gotten high, he wouldn’t have, lost his judgment, but he was high, and, with the words of angers getting passed, he’d, lost control, and stabbed a man to death, and, life sentence fitted, just right to this crime.
