The Professional Chefs Used the Leftovers to Create a Full-Scale Banquet, “Full-Scale Banquets Don’t Even Taste as Good as This”

This gives the extra food items a brand new life, from the creativity of a chef!  From the Newspapers, translated…

The TSMC Charitable Foundation, and the KKTIX answered to the sharing the food program set up by Hsinbei City, they’d combined the meals on wheels foundation, gone to the Changyuan Community to cook, and the elders they’d served exclaimed, that the grand scale banquets paled by comparison to the foods they were being, served, and the social workers told the elders, “You can only have this high-quality food at the hotels, the high-end restaurants”

The head of the Compassions Food Foundation, Lo took along forty head chefs from the hotels, the restaurants, started cleaning up the food items as they’d arrived on location; the elders from the local communities started gathering before the local temple, and watched the performances put on by the elementary schools students, and then, the younger and older generations sat down together for a meal.

Each plate was made from the leftover food items, including the crispy duck, the mushrooms, the seafood steamed, along with the prawns, the mushrooms with fresh free range chicken, it’d made the elders have a huge appetite.  The head of Social Services, Chang and the manager of the local district, Lang also were there, to serve the food items.

The TSMC Foundation president, Chang said, that this meal had incorporated in the seasonal produce,, the leftover food items that are very fresh locally, in the future, she’d hoped to combine more of the enterprises, to provide these sorts of meal programs more often.  The president of the Hsin Tong Yang Foundation, Mai said, the company had been involved in this meal program for over two years, the processed meats of their plant had, donated the foods to Social Services, then, the Social Services rationed the food items to the locations.

“The elders really needed more caring”, the head of the Changyuan Community Development Foundation, Huang said, that the population is moving out of the community right now.  The community already set up the elderly programs, to push forth the elderly samba dance team, and the sharing meals program, to look after the elderly in the community, and, as the elders were given the opportunity to have the meals prepared for them by the star restaurant chefs, they all felt very, blessed.

And so, this is, a very good program, it’d, reduced the amount of foods being thrown away, and, it also gave the elders in the local communities to feel cared for, and there should be more programs like this one out there.
