Another case (unfortunately…) of an infant getting abused, to NEAR-DEATH, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A four-months-old infant boy went out with his father, Chou and his father’s girlfriend, they’d, checked into a hotel in Hsintien of Hsinbei City, the child was suspected of fallen down onto the floors of the room, causing severe head trauma, he was rushed to the hospital, and still being resuscitated right now; the doctors found there are new and old injuries on the infant boy, they’d suspected abuse, and called up the social services, the police and district attorney’s office had stepped in to investigate the matter.
The Shihlin District Attorney’s Office stated, that the case is still unclear, and they’re not sure if this case was a case of child abuse, and they had yet to establish the link between the young infant’s injuries with Chou and his girlfriend; the two hadn’t come in to explain yet, they will wait until the report of the young infant boy’s injuries became finalized, and confirming the time of injuries, then, the D.A. will investigate further, if this is a case of intentional abuse, or if it was due to negligence in care taking.
The police and district attorney’s offices investigated, that Chou (age 24) after divorcing his ex-wife, got sole custody of the infant boy; on the eighteenth of this month, he took his girlfriend and his own infant son out to travel, they’d, checked into a four-star hotel in Hsintien, at around six in the morning on the twentieth, he’d found his son to have fallen to the floors, the infant was already stiffened, his lips turned black, he was out of consciousness, the father was so shocked he’d rushed his son to the Cardinal Tien Hospital to resuscitate, then, was transferred to Taipei’s Veteran’s Memorial Hospital to treat.

Based off of understanding, the doctors at VMH found that other than the severe head trauma on the infant boy’s head, there were new and old bruising covering up his limbs, the infant had old and new injuries covering up his entire body, and, after using the precisions of the equipment, they were able to determine the cause of the infant’s injuries, being shaken hard, or from excessive external forces, the hospital suspected child abuse, they’d reported the case to social services, then, to the police to investigate.
The Taipei Family Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention’s manager, Wang said, that the case was clearly abuse, and the infant was way too young, with no ability to protect himself, and needed medical assistance, the center already placed him out of his father’s custody.
The police in Hsintien said, that Chou claimed that the infant boy was choking on his formula, and fell from the couch, because he lives in Beitou, he’d asked to have his son transferred to the VMH in Taipei; on the 24th, the police were ordered by the district attorneys, to take the evidence in the motel room, and they are going to call in Chou and his girlfriend to clarify the detail of what actually happened.
And so, another KID is close to DEAD, because of these caretakers’ abuse of him, and, it is abuse, because based off of the injuries on the young baby boy, there’s, NO way that he couldn’t, bumped into that many things, that often, to gain so many old and new bruises and bumps covering up his body.
