A Man Was Tortured, He’d Leapt Out of a Window & Killed Himself, the Landlord Opened the Apartment Door, Became an Accomplice to His Death

How this landlord who’d, opened the apartment door at the WRONG time got charged, as an accomplice of this man’s SUICIDE!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

A Man, Dai, Suspected that His Partner in Business, Cheng Had, Embezzled the Money the Shop Earned, He’d Asked Him Out, then, Took Him Hostage with an Accomplice to Torture Him, then, Took Cheng Back to His Rental Residence and Beaten Him Up There; Cheng’s Landlord Not Only Didn’t Call the Police, He’d, Opened the Doors Up for the Criminals, as Cheng Entered into His Own Apartment, He’d, Rammed Through the Windows Trying to Break Free, But He’d, Fallen to His Death from the Fifth Floor.  The Taoyuan District Court Charged Dai and His Four Other Accomplices for Taking Cheng Hostage & Torturing Him to Death with the Jail Sentences of From One-and-a-Half Year to Ten Years Ten Months, the Landlord Also Got Sentenced as the Accomplice for Opening Up the Doors to a Year, and This Can be Appealed.

The police investigated, that Dai (age 45) two years ago on July 28^th at two in the morning, came to find Huang, Si, and Peng as his accomplices, took Cheng and another man, Chen to the public cemeteries to confront them.  Chen stated how Cheng had taken all the money on his own, and in the process of interrogating him, Dai and his accomplices kicked Cheng into the fields, and after he was pulled to get his head rammed into the walls, the group took Cheng to the rental home to keep on interrogating him.

The landlord, Cheng heard, that so long as Cheng returned the money he owed to the men, he could get the accumulated rents owed to him, he’d not called the cops on the group, and also, provided them with the key to the man’s apartment.  As the men entered into his apartment, Cheng was duct-taped, beaten up, and forced to make the calls to get the money he’d owed, until 8:30 the following morning, because he couldn’t get any help, he’d, broken the windows, and fell from the fifth floor, he was rushed to the hospitals, and died there, the paramedics saw duct-tape around his neck, thought it was suspicious, and notified the police.

During the trial, Dai claimed that he’d not known if Cheng leapt out the window because of his addiction, or fear, or anything from outside of him, that it was, an unforeseeable circumstance, besides, there was someone who was, willing to pay up the debts, that there wouldn’t be a need for him, to press him to pay what he’d owed them back. And the landlord testified that he’d only, helped the group of men open the doors, that he’d not been, involved in torturing or murdering the man.

The autopsy result showed, that there were, contusions on Cheng’s head and thorax, that there wasn’t any common substances in his blood, the police also found, that the glass window he’d rammed through was 0.5 centimeters thick, that it wasn’t, opened up easily, unless, there’s an intention to ram through it, Cheng wouldn’t have, fallen down.

The courts based off of the testimonies of the involved men, that Dai had, duct-taped Cheng, kept him captive, that the landlord saw Cheng getting his clothes torn up, covered in bruises, and he was there all the way, believed he was, a nonparticipating accomplice.

The verdict pointed out, that Dai and his gang took Cheng to the public cemeteries, beaten him up, forcibly taken him, tied him up, restricted his movements, continued beating him, adding to his fear, in the end, he’d, risked his own life, to escape by breaking through a window, that all the involved men would be charged, accordingly.

And so, this just showed, how you can become, an ACCOMPLICE to a MURDER, even IF you didn’t actively participate in the murdering of someone else, because the landlord wanted the rents owed to be paid up, so he’d, opened up the door for the men who was there to collect the debts the victim owed them, and he’d, become, an accomplice, because had he NOT opened up the door for the group of men who were collecting, then, this victim, may not have died the way he had, and so, it’s only fitting, that he gets, charged, as an accessory to murder too.
