The brothers, the Lins, they’d worried that Chang and his accomplices knew where they lived, and worried that the men may hurt their loved ones, and although they were abused, beaten, and starved, they’d not, dared fought back; until last June when Chang’s wife was arrested for drug trafficking, they’d, taken the opportunity to make their escapes, and, went to the police with their family accompanying them.
The D.A. investigated, that the Changs and others used the Lins’ properties to take out a second, and a third mortgage, later, they’d even, sold the Chang’s properties, and, gotten the car loans too, they’d gotten over $3.3 million N.T.s, which they’d, pocketed entirely. Chen and eight others had even, used the names of other people to take out the loans, they’d, earned the illegal incomes of about $6.4 million N.T.s totally.
As the D.A. interrogated, Chang’s wife claimed that the younger man, Lin’s wages from working at the malls are used to pay for his rent and food, that the older brother owed her money, and was, willing to, turn over the properties on his own to her. But the realtors testified, that as Chang’s wife signed on the papers, she’d claimed to be the older brother’s girlfriend, not only did she take charge of the selling of the properties, she’d also, physically abuse the brothers, and, made Lin’s mother cried, and, as the company was about to, deal with Chang’s wife on the third sales, they’d found that something wasn’t, quite right, they’d, stopped working with her then.
The D.A. believed, that the Changs and others used verbal threats on the brothers, used their families’ safety as a chip to make them comply, they’d, physically abused them, and Chang’s wife had forced one of the two brothers dress up as a woman, they’d neglected the brothers’ rights as humans, that the accomplices shouldn’t get off easy, and asked the courts to give them severe punishments in the indictments that they’d, drafted up.
Just because these men are mentally retarded, you’d, taken advantage of them, treated them like less-than-human beings, and now, you got caught, you will be, severely, punished, and that, is justice, but, it’s still nowhere N-E-A-R justice, considering how much HELL these men were, put through!
