The misuse, the abuse of love here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A friend who had a twin boy and a girl invited me to his children’s baby shower, he is already a well-established business owner, and I wrecked my brains, on what to bring as gifts for his two newborn infant children.
Toward my troubles, he’d told me, “Everybody who’s invited can give my children a book, with the blessings written in the blank pages and that will suffice.”, he hoped, that his children can be, surrounded by books, and see how blessed they were by everybody.
“Having a fulfilled life comes from obtaining all the knowledge, but I cannot give my children all the knowledge in the world, but they can gain all the knowledge they will ever need through reading, so I hope, that my kids will be surrounded by books, and can feel the joys of reading”, he’d stopped, then, started again, “there would be the trials of life that comes, and sometimes, it feels, we’re, stuck, and no matter how hard we worked, we can’t, get past it, and, perhaps, we can, draw the strengths from others’ words, to help ourselves. You all had, weathered through your shares of life, and you will, surely, be able to, offer the great advice that my children will need, and it can also, make my children feel loved, I hope they will, grow up knowing how loved they both are, and knew to show gratitude too”.
I’d told him, that I saw so many parents, wishing their children can achieve greatness………, and so, at the year-old ceremonies, they’d put out the stethoscope, the cell phone, the miniature instruments, etc., etc., etc., and it all goes to their wishes of how they want their children to excel in life, but, he knew, that all he can give to his young, are wisdom, and courage.
He’d told me, that some people, who are scholarly, but lacked the courage, it will only make them stuck at a standstill. And if you have the courage, the knowledge, but no love in your heart, then in the end, you will only do things that benefitted yourself, what good are you, to society? If you’re willing to hurt others, to benefit yourselves, then, what’s the difference between hurting the society, and even, a country? He’d found, that children who were raised in love, are mostly more mild-tempered, kind hearted, “So that’s why love is the most important thing”, but he’d feared that I’d not heard him, he’d, repeated at me, “LOVE, is the MOST important of all”.
I’d told him I hear him, but I told him, that although love is the most important, there’s, also the right and wrong ways to love; parents all love their children. I’d heard, that owners of enterprises raised their children in poverty, so they can learn all the right values; but, a lot of the middle class parents saved all they could, to give their young a better life, and in the very end, their children still, lived below the poverty lines. “And so, misappropriating love, it’s also, very scary too!”
He’d laughed and told me he’d heard me, “not just the parents, nobody should use the name of love, and hurt someone else, the purpose of love is to benefit someone else, so, we must, think from another’s perspective, like how the politicians are so………”, I’d, interrupted him again, “don’t get too far from what we’re discussing here…”
We’d looked at each other and smiled, but I prayed inside: the world will become more tolerant because of love, the countries can grow because of love, and, the citizens can also, live in peace and fulfilled, because of love too!
So, this is on how love should start at home, and if you’re raising your young by the right kind of love (not like the kind of ABUSIVE love I was raised by!!!), then, you got NOTHING to worry about, because children will pick up on your behaviors, and, they will, model what you, the adults do, which is why it’s, more important, to ACT right, instead of saying the right things, as actions always speak, LOUDER than words!!!
