Parents’ lacking the COMMON SENSE was what caused this infant to get K-I-L-L-E-D! And to think, this could’ve been, avoided, easily too, from the Front Page Sections, translated…
A young couple rode out on a scooter, with their six-months-old infant girl, as they rode across the Xinyi Road, they had a fender-bender with a compact, the three on the scooter fell over, the young infant who was originally held close to her mother’s chest suffered severe head trauma, she’d died instantly, the couple melted down, and were, having a very difficult time, accepting the death of their young child.
From the preliminary investigations by the Da-An Substation, the motorist and the driver of the car were, both at fault, both were charged with manslaughter.
The police said, the 27-year-old man, Lu rode out with his 28-year-old wife, Yao, taking her to work, they’d originally planned to drop their six-months-old young daughter to the nanny’s, Yao sat in the back with her young daughter. As the scooter rode past Xinyi Road, Sec. 2, because of the reduced number of lanes, the scooter moved in toward the internal lanes, accidentally, the scooter crashed into the compact driven by Hu, the scooter lost balance, and tipped over, after Yao fell over, the infant girl’s head hit the pavement, she’d died on site.
The motorist who’d fallen too, left his scooter to check on his wife and daughter, and the driver, Hu also came from his car to check, and, everybody saw Yao in a panic with her daughter in her arms, asking, “why isn’t she moving, why isn’t she breathing?” the paramedics rushed the infant to NTU Hospital, but she’d, still died.
Yao who’d only suffered abrasions on her arms and legs lost it in the hospital, she couldn’t accept that her daughter had, died in her care, and her husband, Lu, tried to calm her down. Toward the police inquiries, Yao told them, “I can’t remember anything after I fell off the scooter.”
The fifty-year-old Hu told the police, that in the process of driving, he’d not noted the scooter approaching from the right, and as he saw the scooter, it was, already too late for him to avoid crashing into it; Lu told the police, that because the outer lanes were under construction, that was why he’d, ridden his scooter inside, that he’d not found a car approaching from the back left. Because Lu had broken the passenger capacity and safety on transporting the infant girl, and did NOT keep a safe distance, not wathed the traffic at all, and the driver of the car didn’t keep a safe distance either, both were charged with manslaughter, and sent to the D.A.s office.
And so, this still just showed, how important it is, to MAKE sure that you take ALL the safety precautions, when you’re, transporting your own children, and, this family could’ve, ridden a cab to the daycare center, but instead, they’d, decided to ride out on the scooter, which in turn, caused their young daughter to die, and all of this, could’ve been, easily AVOIDED, had someone TAKEN enough safety precautions!
