It’s sad, truly!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

The ninety-year-old elderly woman, Chen in Taipei, with her sixty-year-old son lost contact with their loved ones for two days, two evenings ago, the police and fire department received a call from Chen’s relatives, and they’d arrived at Chen’s residence in Da-An to check on her, as they broke the door down, they’d found Chen and her son’s bodies inside, their corpses are already, cold and rigor had, set in, the police ruled out murder.

The D.A. yesterday afternoon finished autopsying the body, and believed that it was after Chen died of illness, leaving his elderly mother to have no one to care for her, and she’d, died too.  Based off of understanding, before Chen died, she’d become bedridden, and needed the machines to keep her alive, she was looked after by her son, but he had a stomach condition, and diabetes, and there were two recent records that showed how he was in critical condition and was rushed to the hospitals.

Chen’s relatives would call the mother and son up regularly, but two days ago, the relatives lost contact with Chen and her son completely, and had dialed up their home phone number, but nobody answered, the relative felt ill-at-ease, and called the police.

Two evenings ago, the police, along with the firefighters, broken into their residence, and, the only sound that came, was from Chen’s respirator, Chen was found, down on the kitchen floors, while Chen was found in her bed.

And so, this, is what’s currently happening, you have the aging caring for the elderly, and, because the younger generations all had their separate lives, they’re, less likely to be there, when something like this happened, and, this is just one of the situations that’s currently happening right now, in the world: the aging caring for the elderly and bedridden.
