The death, from the lack of safety precautions, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

The 44-year-old man, Wu asked his friend from online, Chen out to the Green Mountains Harbor to go and catch some fish and crabs, they were in the water for over two hours; as Chen got on shore, he’d found, that Wu hadn’t surfaced back up yet, he’d felt that something was wrong, he’d called the police, the coastguard and the fire department had helped with the search and rescues, but when Wu was finally found, he’d, already died.

The Coast Guard said, that Wu was in the heat-activated bodysuit and headlights, and as he was found, he wasn’t tangled with the fish nets, they’d suspected that the low temperatures of the water had caused his body suit to malfunction, that he’d fallen unconscious, and drowned to death; the family had no objection to this cause of death.

The police investigated that the deceased met Chen (age 43) online, two nights ago in the late evenings, they’d gone out from the harbor to fish, and Chen’s female friend, Li (age 43) was onboard too.

At around 12:30 at midnight, Wu and Chen changed into their diver’s suits and went in, Li waited on shore.

At 2:50 in the early mornings, Chen’s flashlight’s batteries were out, so he swam up first, he didn’t see Wu, and called it in.

The Fire Department sent a rescue team of five divers to help, the sixth division of the Coast Guard sent people out too, and because the location was hard to get to, there was a wide and deep underwater pass the rescuers had to swim across, the help didn’t arrive until 3:53 in the morning, and, twenty minutes later, the rescuer went to search, at around 4:11, they recovered Wu, but he was already dead.

Chen said, that they’d always gone into the water to catch the fish around midnight, they always go separately, that they would normally dive for two, three hours at a time, and they’d agreed, that whoever swam up to share first turns on the headlights to warn the person who was in the water, and, because Wu never responded back, he’d felt that something wasn’t quite right, and called in to report his friend missing.

And so, this, could’ve been prevented, had these men not gone at that hour of night to catch the fish, but they had, and, one of them drowned, in a tragic accident.
