The Adolescent Girl In Flight, Had a Social Worker to Help Her Pass Through Her Times of Play, She’d Settled Down, and Became a Mother

What these teens are in need of, is merely a little guidance, and the company of adults, from the Newspapers, translated…

“Moon” was never good with her studies, had skipped school, skipped home, at the age of fifteen, she’d become, an adolescent in flight, later she’d met a social worker, who’d taken, and coaxed her into hiking with her, and, the social worker went from a stranger to being her best friend, the social worker even helped “Moon” celebrate her birthdays, it’d made “Moon” change her behaviors bit by bit; about a year ago, she met her boyfriend who was a chef, they got married, and had children, she’d become, stabilized now, and now, Moon who works at a betel nut stand told, that because she was raised by her single father, she’d not want to be missing from her own young child’s life.

At the age of fifteen, “Moon” had a head of hair, dyed to pink, because she’d not liked studying in school, and joined up with the temple celebrations, enjoyed drumming, became truant a lot, skipped home, her father in order to raise her, worked as a mover of the graveyard shifts, but the place where the father and daughter met the most wasn’t at home, it was after “Moon” did something awful, her father was called to the school, even the police stations, to help clean up after her.

“Back then, I’d owed someone $50,000N.T.s”, Moon told, that she’d started working after she dropped out of school, and because she’d owed money, she got involved with the police, in the end, it was her father who’d, come to the station, to help her sort it all out, but her father had, slapped her across the face, and she was, locked up at home for one month, that although her father was harsh toward her, he’d always, “cleaned up” after her, it’d finally made her realized, that she needed to, straighten up her acts.

Moon said, she kept hanging out with the bad crowds until in middle school, a social worker took her on a hike up a mountain, and ever since, the social worker became like the chicken soup for her soul, became her best friend, the social worker even helped her celebrated her birthdays.

The social worker of the Child & Youth Welfare Center in Luzhou had helped accompany Moon through her teenage years, but, she’d gone in and out of three technical high schools, and is still a first-year student, in the end, she’d, dropped out, she’d told, “it’s not that I’m a bad kid, I just don’t like studying.”

About a little over a year ago, she’d met her boyfriend who is a chef, they were married, and had a child, it’d, settled her down then.  At the age of twenty-one, Moon said, that she came from a single-parent family, so she’d not wanted her own young to miss her growing up too.  “besides, I’m done with playing around”, she was grateful to the owner of the betel nut stand where she worked, to allow her to work and watch her child at the same time.

And so, it took awhile, but this young woman finally straightened up her own life, and what made her change was becoming a mother, she’d realized that she has responsibilities now, and, because of how her father had, bailed her out in her turbulent teenage years from before, she’d finally realized, that she needed to, straighten her own acts, and because she was looked after by the social worker who worked on her case, that was why she’d felt she had the support she’d lacked, and was able to, turn her own life around.
