Tragedy, with, you guessed it, ALCOHOL as the catalyst! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
A man, Chen in Taiping District, Taichung, after he got drunk last night, he’d taken a fruit knife, and hacked his own mother ot death, Chen’s coworker made an attempt to prevent him from murdering his own mother, but he too, was injured in the process. As Chen was subdue by everybody who was there, the police finally arrived, Chen’s mother was rushed to the hospital, but due to the extent of her injuries, she’d, died. As Chen was taken into the police station, he was still intoxicated, his BAC showed a 0.92, the police are waiting for him to hangover, and then, they’ll be inquiring him.
The Fire Department in Taichung received a call in the evenings, that in a mansion in Taiping District, there was someone who was, injured, as the paramedics arrived, they’d found the 64-year-old woman, Sun bleeding in the mouth and nose, she was, already not showing any sign of life, they’d rushed her into the military general hospital in Taichung to resuscitate, but she’d still, died. Another man in his forties had injuries on both his hands, he was taken to the Chang-An Hospital in Taiping. The place all of this had happened was a five-story mansion, and the confrontation happened on the first floor, where there were, blood all over the floors.
The police’s preliminary investigations found, that Sun was having a gathering with her son, her son’s girlfriend, her male coworker, and her godson in the house. Those who were present testified, that they didn’t know why but Sun started a verbal altercation with her son, and her son picked up a fruit knife and stabbed her, as Chen’s coworker saw, he’d made an attempt to stop him, but he too, was stabbed, and, Chen had injuries too, and was immediately, subdued by those who were there.
And so, this, is how alcohol made things worse, because had these people not gotten drunk, then, they may have dealt with their arguments in a less violent manner, but alcohol was involved, and, this was, what had happened, as a result.
