Because the man was in pain, and the firefighters that came to his rescue didn’t take enough care in moving the man, injuries on the job here, from the Front Page Sections, translated…

A man, Lu in Kaohsiung, last year in May got in a car crash, he’d fallen to the ground and was injured, the city fire department’s fourth squad’s Chiao-Tou substation rushed to the rescue, suddenly, Lu kicked the firefighter, Wu who tried to help him up in the eye and temporal lobe, Wu held back his pain, and after he’d rescued the man, he’d, gone ot the hospital, where he was diagnosed with injury to his left eye, visual impairments, and concussion.  The Chiao-Tou district Court found Lu guilty of obstruction of justice, sentenced him to two months, and he could pay a fine and not serve any time, and on probation for two years, and that he’d needed to pay Wu $130,000N.T. for the physical injuries.

The district court investigated and found, that Lu was in a car crash, lying on the ground, the locals found him and reported it.  The firefighter, Wu came to the sight, assessed Lu for his consciousness, then, flipped him around, to test if he was receptive to pain.  As Lu was lying on his back, without any warning, he’d, kicked Wu’s left eye and temporal lobe.

The captain of the fourth squadron, Chen said, Wu’s sight deteriorated profounded because of being kicked.  Based off of understanding, Lu didn’t have any clear motive for the attack, and because of how Wu encountered violence in his rescuing someone, he’d needed a long time to readjust himself, and was, returned to his post as a paramedic.

The district court believed, that Lu’s physical assault on the firefighter injured him, and considered how he’d admitted to what he’d done was wrong, and had settled with the victim, he was sentenced to two months in prison for obstruction of justice, which he could pay a fine and not serve any time, and he would be on probation for two years, and that he’d needed to pay Wu $130,000N.T. for his injuries.  Lu needed to receive the mandatory courses, and in his probation, he is to be under police custody.

And, the Second Squadron’s Da-Chang Team’s firefighter, Hong in Kaohsiung too, was attacked by a drunk man, Chien, he’d suffered injuries to his face, a broken nose, cracked glasses, Hong sued Chien to the physical injuries, the Kaohsiung District Court found Chien guilty of assault, sentenced him to four months, and he could pay a fine without serving any time, and on the civil front, he was mandated to pay the firefighter over $50,000N.T. for the physical assault.

And this, is just two cases of job hazards of firefighters and/or paramedics, because, the people they deal with are usually in pain, and, when in pain, people have a rasher way of responding, and these two firefighters/paramedics don’t deserve to get the extent of injuries they’d received at all!
