The gang member, Hsiao, five years ago, in order to help his second-generation rich friend, Tseng even the scores, went to a night club to start a fight, called on over sixty members of his gang, and beaten the officer who was there, to maintain order, Su to death, the D.A. indicted all sixty-eight members who were all involved, the Highest Court found fifty-seven of them guilty, and gave them sentences of two months to thirteen years, and, Hsiao and Hsu who’d, bashed the officer’s head with a pole was sentenced the heaviest, to thirteen years; Tseng and his girlfriend, Liu’s involvements were still debated, and, their cases were tossed back to the high appeals court.

Tseng and his girlfriend, Liu, in 2014, started an altercation with the security guard of the night club, “Spark”, two of them felt upset, they’d called Hsiao out to talk, and, Hsiao suggested that they take more people, to break down the night club, to get even, then, he’d used WeChat, to round up the gangs there, and, the over thirty individuals got into it with the security guards, and, fights broke out.

The sergeant who was off-duty, Chuang passed by the night club, he’d called on his coworker, Shue who was also having his day off to come to sort out the fights with him.

Shue screamed into the crowd, “Why are you fighting in my jurisdiction”, and started, kicking at the crowd, Hsiao and his men then, dragged Shue out the door, and ganged up on him, someone used the beams, the bats, and bashed Shue’s head, his chest, Shue was rushed to the hospital, but died.

There were total of sixty-eight defendants in the murder of the officer in the night club, of then, Lin was sentenced to nine years in prison.  The Highest Courts pointed out, the accomplice, Chen had died, and so, he wasn’t charged; Tseng, Liu, and seven others’ involvements, because of how chaotic the scene was, and because there were, more people who’d, gathered around, the judge sent the case back to the lower courts for a retrial.

The involvements of Hsiao and fifty-seven others, they’d all denied having started the fights, and, claimed that they couldn’t, foresee the death of officer Shue, but, the original verdict was clear, both sides argued for the facts, that they didn’t consider the law, and they got their appeals tossed back.

Hsiao, Hsu were, sentenced to thirteen years, Wan to eight years eight months, and Yi, to nine years in prison.
