Being too tried, too taxed, by long-term caretaking of the ailing here, that, was what’s caused this murder!!! From the Front Page Sections, translated…
An elderly woman, Lin refused to have her husband who’d become bedridden after his stroke to keep living in pain, she’d force fed him the pesticides, and he’d, died; the son testified, that his mother had a mental breakdown from the long-term caretaking, of shouldering all the burdens of caring for his father who was ill long-term, that she’d planned to commit suicide after she’d killed his father, the Taichung District Courts believed that the elderly woman had no way out, and she didn’t know she was schizophrenia, they’d reduced her sentence three times, and, charged her with murder, sentenced her to a year ten months, four years of probation, and this can be appealed.
The Collectivist Court stated that as Lin murdered her husband she was having a relapse from her schizophrenia, which reduced her ability to judge, and after she’d murdered her husband she’d turned herself into the police, and, the conditions of her crime fitted to the rules of “sympathetic”, and so, the D.A. had asked for the reduction of Lin’s sentence three times from the courts. Her two sons also testified on her behalf, that she wasn’t will, that they’d not wanted to see her locked up in jail, so after considerations, the judge decided to put her on four years of probation.
The verdict pointed out, that Lin’s (age 69) husband two years ago in April, was seriously injured in a car wreck, and the complications from his wreck caused him to have a stroke, and he’d started, deteriorating, became immobilized, he was intubated, couldn’t take care of himself in any sense.
Lin was responsible for caring for him, but she’d become immobilized due to the deteriorations of her legs, she had stomach troubles, with other conditions that’s caused her health to be deteriorating too. And, she’d gone undiagnosed for her schizophrenia without knowing it, and, thought about committing suicide with her husband a lot.
Two years in the evening of September 6th, Lin, because of the long-term pressures, and her relapse of schizophrenia, she’d not wanted her husband to keep on suffering, she was suspected of force-feeding pesticides to him. Because her husband screamed out in pain, she’d called it in, and had him rush into the hospital, but, her husband still died the following day. She’d turned herself in to the police, and, was diagnosed as having schizophrenia by the professionals, but she didn’t know that she had the mental illness.
Lin’s son testified, that his mother wrote her note, that because she’d been caring for his father long-term, and she’d been troubled by her illness long-term too, she’d felt that she couldn’t, take it anymore. She’d originally planned to force feed the pesticides to his father and kill herself, and that was why she’d asked him, to cremate her and his father, and, toss a handful of their ashes into the oceans.
And so, because this woman was too stressed over having to take care of her ailing husband, and, with her schizophrenia left untreated, undiagnosed, she’d, committed the murder, and, this is understandable, because this woman was under great amounts of pressures from having to care for her ailing husband, and her schizophrenia was, left undiagnosed, and untreated, and all of these factors combined, was what caused her to murder her own husband.
