Turning these brothers into enemies, or maybe, they weren’t, that close to begin with??? From the Front Page Sections, translated…
A man, Liu, last year, because of his displease with how his father’s assets were split up, he’d, murdered his own older brother by hacking him, as he’d hacked his own older brother, he’d lifted his head saw his father’s photo on the shrine, realized what he’d done, he’d immediately turned himself in to the police; after he’d hacked his brother, he’d changed his attitude and gotten his older brother to forgive him, the Hsinbei District Court charged him with attempted murder sentenced him to two years in prison five years of probation, that he needed eight courses in education.
The verdict pointed out, last year on November 24th, Liu was in his home, discussing with his siblings on how they should split up the assets, because they’d disagreed, he was asked to move out of the house, he was displeased, blurted out, “I’m really not happy about ti”, then, he’d, picked up a fruit knife, and hacked at his older brother’s head, neck, and chest.
The older brother started bleeding and had, passed out, he was rushed to the hospital, and the hospital issued a critical condition for him, Liu was charged with attempted murder.
In the court sessions, Liu claimed that he lost emotional control, that was why he’d hacked down his older brother, and as he saw his father’s photo on the shrine, he’d, regretted what he’d done; and as Liu’s older brother recovered, he too stated, that after the incident, his younger brother changed, he became, calmer too, that he’d, consulted the family more on things, and for the sake of helping to keep his younger brother’s family intact, he was, willing to forgive him, hoped that the courts can give his younger brother a brand new lease on life.
The courts believed, that Liu turned himself in, which had corresponded to the requirements of getting his sentence reduced, and in the trials, he’d admitted to what he’d done, behaved himself, plus, his older brother begged for mercy on his behalf too, the courts believed that Liu learned his lesson, sentenced him to just two years of prison, and put him on probation for five years, and, he was banned to act violent toward his older brother during his probationary term.
And so, in the heat of the moment, this man picked up a knife, and HACKED his older brother, because he felt, that the assets weren’t split up fair enough, and that’s what usually happens, no matter which way you split up the assets, someone will feel that s/he didn’t get what’s fair, and, this man hacked at his older brother, that just showed, how money can easily, turn brothers into enemies.
