The worries of this woman from the start was, warranted, but, she’d, still chose, to help this young lad out, and, he’d, ended up, giving her the emotional supports she’d needed, when her own dog had, died too, how easy a connection can be made, from one human being to another! Translated…
I don’t know that boy that well, it’s just, that we’d met, and befriended one another, because of our dogs, he’d loved his black lab, part-timed through school, and, raised his dog. He’d told me, that he adopted the black lab from online, that it was only, two months old, that it was the owner who’d, given the litter out to those who are interested in having a pet, the black lab was, loaded up in a kennel, and, shipped by the cargo containers, rode up north to meet up with him on the trains on its own.
As the lab grew to two years of age, the boy texted me privately, asked, if my dog, Bro can give his blood to his dog? Lab was diagnosed with leukemia, and transfusion was the only chance that it will, ever make it. I’d told him, that Bro and I are more than willing to help out, but, Bro was already, fifteen years of age, and, he wasn’t, in good health, that it would be problematic, if he were to, give his blood, and, there’d need to be a perfect match of the blood types too, that it would be, time-consuming, that he’d have, better luck, buying the blood his dog needed from a blood bank. He’d replied back, “Aunty, I can’t, I don’t have enough money, we’re, at our, wits end, can you………”
what this woman was originally, worried about…
an online scam, photo from online
So, I’d, stood in front of the ATM, getting stuck, between whether or not I should, thought to myself, Is he, telling me, the truth? Or, was he, just using my kindness, to try to scam me. He’d told me he would pay me back from his part-time jobs, and, aren’t there, those who’d, faked how bad their situations were from online? And, it was, as if, I saw that big boy, helplessly, held tightly, onto, a weakened big dog, hoping, and praying, that his dog will, live, and the big dog was, also, fighting hard, for his life, and yet, I knew, that buying the blood, may only be, a temporary solution to his problem. And, dragging the life out of the big dog, was merely, delaying the inevitable, and, would I be, helping them out, or, hurting them? But, whether it be the doubts I held for that boy, or, that boy’s knowledge of life, I’d, have to, give it a shot, to know if it’d, worked. And, maybe, it was, an expensive sort of an experiment, but, if the dog was really sick, and, with the money, perhaps, there would be, a miracle, and so, I’d, punched in the keypad on the ATM, and, I’d, wired the money the boy needed, to treat his big dog.
And afterwards, I started receiving the news of “Labby”, and how he was doing in treatment. And finally, came the bad news, “Labby went to become a angel, he probably, understood, that I was, having a hard time, paying for his treatments………”
And on the day, there was, the amount from the records, of what that young lad wired back into my account. As my dog became a angel too, the boy used his own experienced, taught me, how to recover, from my loss of my beloved pet. Dear boy, thank you, for showing me that light, of kindness, in the darkened seas of the internet.
