The Fourth-Year Female Student, Wei from Danjian University, was found yesterday, dead, in the water pumps providing water supply for southern Taipei, there was the unconscious sixteen-year-old adolescent male, Yuan close by the police believed this was an accident by preliminary investigation of the scene, they’d gone to Wei’s stay and found what seemed to be the roller for marijuana, and filed with the courts to have Yuan’s blood drawn, to see if it tested positive for marijuana usage.
The police found, that yesterday morning at around six, Yuan, the teen was found lying next to the ditch, as the police arrived on scene, they’d found him unconscious, slurring in his speech, they’d notified his mother to come to take care of him; as the officers left, Yuan’s mother who was originally by her son’s side, found a pair of shoes just three meters away, she got curious, and accidentally, stumbled onto the twenty-five-year-old woman’s body, she’d called it in at nine in the morning, as the police arrived, Yuan’s mother was still in shock, she was shaken up, couldn’t speak a word. Yuan felt sick, and was sent to the hospital, and made to stay for observations.
The surveillance footages the police reviewed over showed Wei and Yuan two nights ago, went to shop at a convenience shop, they bought cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, and instant noodles, then, they’d headed to the pumping station, after the police confiscated Yuan’s cell phone and checked, they’d found that he’d told the college student he can provide her with some marijuana, but they’d not found any illegal substances at the scene.
The police pointed out, that Wei was found, lying face down, her body swelled up, fully clothes, with her shoes close by, no sign of struggle on her body, that she’d died no more than 24 hours ago, there wasn’t any physical injuries on her body, they didn’t believe she was killed by external forces, but the ditch was over two meters deep, plus there were the protective nets covering over, but, from the underside fences, people can get in easily, the police believed that the woman fell through the spaces on the protective nets up above. And because from the record of the calls in the cell phones, there were mentionings of smoking marijuana, if the woman fell unconscious after abusing marijuana, and fell in is still pending the results of her autopsy.
The police stated, that Wei was a student of Danjian University, she’d started going to school this year, Yuan was a dropout, left home for several days already, that he’d been staying with Wei for over fifteen days now. Yuan had identified himself falsely as his own older brother, told the police he was a younger schoolmate of the deceased. Yuan’s mother told the police, that she’d not known Wei, that her son didn’t have a girlfriend, it’s just that he is still in his rebellious stage, and hadn’t come home for days on end.
And so, this looked like an accidental death, but, because drugs are involved, the police needed to look into the case more, to see if the woman’s death was caused by overdose, or that if she fell by accident, and who had, provided her with the marijuana.
