The Taipei High ExHcutive Court’s Former Judge, Hong-Bing Chen was Accused of Sexually Harassing His Female Assistant for Two Years, the Courts in 2016, Fired Him from His Post as Judge, Chen Fought for an Appeal, and the Courts Fined Him a Year’s Worth of Retirement Pensions, it’d Caused the Public Anguish, the Examination Department Mentioned that They Need to Retry the Case, the Courts Tossed Back Chen’s Appeals, and, Maintained the Rulings of Taking Him Off of His Judgeship.
Hong-Bing Chen is a married man, he was accused of making improper impasses onto the female assistant since November of 2012, using the excuses of “praying, feeling moved”, held the assitant’s hand, hugged her, and told her, that with his support, she should have no problem, continuing her post as assistant to the judge. The woman, in order to continue working as the assistant to the judge, had put up with his impasses.

The day before the evaluation of his assistant’s rehiring, claimed that his wife took his children home to her mother’s, and invited her to take a walk with him by the river at Poli-Sci University, he’d forcibly kissed her, she’d exclaimed to him, “My boyfriend’s the only one who is allowed to kiss me on the lips”. Later, she’d told what happened on her FB, and as the coworkers told the court systems, that was how Chen’s improper actions got found.
The duties courts relieved Chen of his judgeship, it’d affected how much pension he was to receive upon retirement, so he’d, fought for an appeal.
The collectivist courts of the retrial believed, that the female assistant claimed that as Chen shook her hands, and hugged her, that she’d “not feel the least bit uncomfortable”, believed, that he’d not forced her against her will, that he’d, abused his power status as a judge. Plus how the assistant had Chen parked his car by the riverside, and they’d strolled along for about half an hour, subjectively, Chen is inclined to believe, that his assistant liked him, after the female assistant had, pushed him back as he tried to kiss him, he’d, introspected, and showed remorse over what he’d done, although he’d behaved improperly, but, it’d not affected his work as a judge, the Collectivist Court decided to make him pay the fines of a year’s worth of his retirement pensions (approximately $2.16 million N.T.’s), and Chen gets to keep his judgeship.
Last year, on Women’s Day, the verdict from the retrial had caused riot, the female judge who was sitting in on the case, Hsieh got angered by the verdict, and turned in her resignation, the relations of Chen and the members of the Collectivist Courts brought into question, the local groups objected, and what was more, was that one of the judge on the case, Chen went on a radio show, and said that this was a case of unsuccessful extramarital affair.

As the voices of objection came from all around, President Tsai posted on FB, that the verdict of the justice systems must reflect the justice of the society. The Examination Department shall review over the fact, and then, shall decide on whether or not the judges should be taken off their judgeships.
And so, this is really bad, because a JUDGE (officer of the LAW) believed that he could, get away, with making a pass at his office assistant, and what’s worse was the judges residing over the cases sided with the judge who’d, behaved improperly, and what does that tell you about the justice system?
That there is NO justice whatsoever, and the victims of the crimes can only, cry on in the nights, and nobody will hear them whatsoever!
