Protecting the children, is a very important task at hand right now, because these are our future that we’re raising!  From the Front Page Sections, translated…

“I want the adults can hear me, I hate those who couldn’t take care of their young.  What can your children get from you?  Insults, beating, violence, and abuse?  The punishments of chains, pipes, and belts?”

“I want to sue my parents, because they had me.”  “I’d been living in hell, this hard-to-come-by home for me, caused me enormous pains…”

The Lebanese film, “Capharnaüm” was nominated for best foreign film in the Oscar and the Golden Globe, in this seemingly peaceful age, the film had, exposed how those in the bottommost layer of the socioeconomic statuses without the rightful names, the children not only weren’t allowed to go to school, they’d had to, help to make the household incomes, and, got caught up in human trafficking, illegally selling the contrabands, and being married off as children, along with other countless numbers of trials in their lives.

and here’s the trailer of the film, off of Youtube

In the moive, a twelve-year-old boy called in from the juvenile dention halls to the LIVE T.V. programmings, spoke of how he’d lived in the darkness, that he was abused verbally by his parents, called “get the F*** out of my face, bitch, you son-of-a-bitch!”, it’d, all been, exposed; the children were treated as merely an object by the birthparents, treated as subhumans, they’d screamed aloud angrily; in this era with the advocates of equal rights, in all areas of the world, there are still, many parents who believe they have the rights to own their own children’s lives, using the name of discipline, to intentionally injure the children.

In Taiwan, there are news of shocking child abuse once in a while, although the society needed to set up a safety net system, but, the more important value to instill is: respect others, understanidn others, including ones’ own young; that people of all ages, big and small deserved to be listened to, that we can’t become abusers just because we were abused ourselves, that we should use our bigger sizes, even how much money we have, to push and shove the people who aren’t as able-bodied and/or well-to-do as we are, lacking conscience in whole.

The children are a gift from up above to the parents, a lot of parents believed themselves to be all-knowing; as a woman without children, I’d observed all the parents and children around me, most of the children are duplicates of their parents; but the different times bring about different lives, forcing someone else to accept your beliefs, and even ways of life, is just, barbaric.

In the movie, the parents who were accused by their son explained in court, “That was, how we were, raised.”

The damages are passed down from one generation to the next, so is kindness, only though examining ourselves, the families can become, safe, instead of the never-ending vicious cycles.

And so, this is a movie, about the awareness of child abuse that’s happening in the world, and, there are, many cases of child abuse that are still, swept under the rugs in the world, and, there will always be unfitting parents who pass the abuse they’d received from their own bad parents down to their own young, like mine, but I have the right, to CHOOSE to NEVER pass the same cycle of abuse down to this NONEXISTENT, already DEAD Emily of mine, and that, is a PERSONAL decision that I’d, made!!!
