The case of Lin’s abuse of his family members was broadcasted online live, and it’d turned into a lynch mob, the public’s taking justice into their own hands, and, the identities of the victims were known too. The Crime Prevention Major’s associate professor, Wang from Ming-Chuan University believed, that the world wide web exerted a huge influence, that as online personnels, members of a FANS group on FB, the members of the online community have the obligations of checking the facts repeatedly, before posting, otherwise, there would be irreparable dire consequences.
The incident also caused concern for the members of the Examination Yuan, the board member, Wang questioned the breaching of the child protective laws of how the medias’ report on the footage, and not used the voice overs for the children, that the person who’d posted the video had broken the law on child welfare, that she will look into the matter, to investigate more, and find out who was responsible.
Wang said, based off of psychology, seeing is believing, making the first impressions, the members of the online community saw the video, and they may be misled to believe that that was, all of the story; but what you see online, are usually, not the whole story, and this is very dangerous.

Recalling the entire thing, two days ago at around four in the afternoon, the group, “Complaints Public” had posted the footage, it’d caused public anger, and, they’d started sharing the footage on their own separate websites, fans clubs.
The “Complaints Public” forum with its 2.93 million fans, posted out the information at 4:41 in the afternoon, the online community started doing the human searches for the abusive father’s personal information, and by five, his name, his FB, his address are all out in the open, the members of the online community left, “you can’t solve problems by violence, but violence solves those with the problems”.
Not long thereafter, someone barged into Lin’s home and injured him, but the events didn’t stop there online, by nine in the evening, the online live programs, “Ming-Jie Tseng’s Streaming Live Fans” started playing the videos too, and the owner of the FB fans group, Chen also shared the videos, which added to public’s anger toward the matter.
Tseng had even called on the online community to help, and in the evenings, there were those who’d taken the habanero chili peppers, and everything else, and after the entire night’s worth of events, the police are the ones being tried the most.

The reporter, Wang’s scripts pointed out, that on the day the news media used the programs on T.V., the online forums, and all of it gave the identities of the underage minors away, which had, breached the privacy laws. Some of the media had blurred out the faces afterwards, but still used the individuals’ original speaking voices, that they can still be identified.
Wang said, that the hotties online, the FANS group on FB exerts a greater influence than the news media, and the persons in charge of these groups must have self-control, carry the social responsibilities, otherwise, if they roused up public anger, and, the public took justice into their own hands, the results would be, dire.
And so, in this day and age, when people gets so worked up over things, we must be, even MORE careful, in what we say online, because, you may not know the effects of what you’re saying, that can cause someone else who’d thumbed through your stuff, to commit MURDER!
